Donte Fowler Jr could be the next Sebastian Janikowski. Both big. Strong legs?! Went to college in FL.

Seriously though, Telvin may be a difference maker on defense. Lots of play making potential and all that speed!!

After reading this thread, I have determined I will be the next Lebron James.

I can see the comparison.

Following the spirit of the thread I would like to throw out there that Luke Bowanko reminds me a lot of Steve Atwater.

I think Brandon Linder could be the next Donald Igwebuike.

Abry Jones can be the next Taco Wallace if he works at it.

Quote:According to NCAA finds Rice was only 6ft4 and entered the league at 220.

There is nothing wrong with projecting all pro caliber potential.
That's odd because a SI article talks about him already being 6-5 253 lbs in 1995 before the beginning of his final college season.

Quote:I still see him as the next Simeon Rice. He has both speed and power. And I really think he will have a breakout year.

Thoughts?

I'm assuming your mistaking Simeon Rice for Derrick Brooks, if that's the case then yes Telvin does have a lot of his traits and similar upside. The Simeon Rice comparison makes no sense.

Telvin Smith will be a fine player here but lets not compare him to anyone. He's smaller than a few safeties in the NFL right now.

I hope he's the next Mike Peterson for us. He sure flashed that potential against the Browns last season.

Quote:Well tech the Bucks played a 3 4 d. And Rice as a pro was only 1 inch taller and only 220 when first entered league.
Huh?

Simeon Rice was 6-5 and well over 220 when he entered the league.

Simeon Rice came into the league as a DE in a 4-3 with the Arizona Cardinals.

When Rice went to Tampa, Tampa ran the "Tampa 2," which is a 4-3 defense.

If he meant Derrick Brooks, Brooks never played in a 3-4 alignment in the NFL.
