Mettenberger

I'm super impressed with Mett.

Teddy is my dude of course, but wow Mett is putting a great game together. He's going to shoot up draft boards. I could see him in the top 5 QBs easy.

Quote:Mettenberger is shredding Bama defense, if we miss out on Teddy I would gladly take Mettenberger or Johnny Football in the 2nd
Just Mettenberger, Zach is a far better NFL qb prospect than Mr. Ball on Foot

I said that back in August. He has a cannon for an arm and is cerebral enough to break down opposing defenses and make the right read most of the time.

The only real knock on him was one, isolated off the field incident and his lack of mobility. He's slow. Leftwhich slow.

He's one of the few players I could see Dave target in the back half of the top 10, IF, he receives a trade offer he cant refuse.

You know what?  Leftwich is actually a good comparison.

Leftwich had monstrous arm strength and could read a defense with the best of them, but he was slow as molasses -- as Mett is.  Granted, Mett doesn't have the wind-up release that Leftwich had, which is a good thing.  But I'd say Byron Leftwich is a pretty close NFL comparison for Mett.  Hopefully he fares better than Byron did.

Yeah he has far better mechanics than Leftwitch had but from a physical standpoint they grade out similarly.

Quote:Us taking Mett in the second would mean Caldwell is not sold on Teddy, which I highly doubt.  If we don't take Teddy and Mett falls to round two, I wouldn't hate the pick.

But I want Teddy.

When I say, I wouldn't, I mean if I was some other team.

Mettenburger is going to the Browns.

A few boards already have hime as the 4th QB taken in the first round.

He is better than Manziel and Mariota

Are the Kouandjio brothers draft eligible? They look like some serious, nasty, road graders.

If he could have stayed healthy I'm not sure the other stuff mattered though (I realize it goes hand in hand).

If Mettenberger and McCarron switched teams Bama would be blowing LSU out. Metts a much better qb than McCarron

Hey LSU. They running the ball!

Now I told y'all the play. Can you stop Bama from doing it?

There is an absurd amount of holding going on this game from Bama.
