Kam holding out now because he wants a piece of that pie too(with 3 years left on his contract).
Same outcome every time.
Now Seattle fans can stop their nonsense about how they win with defense and don't need a franchise QB.

Wow what a 4 year deal. Isn't like 60 million guaranteed? That's what you see for 5 to 7 year deals!
Quote:If Seattle wins the big bowl, money well spent. "If"..They already won the big bowl with him, went to back to back super bowls with him, and was a yard and less than 30 seconds away from repeating with him. He's still in his early 20s. This is from Peter King's MMQB column this past Monday: Quote: What more does he have to do to prove himself? Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

He won the bowl prior to his contract extension, lets not forget that this is a "What has he done for me lately" league..
If he doesn't win another bowl after his extension, is his contract justified?
Yeah, it was expected. Yeah he's probably one of the better QBs/leaders in the game.
But damn, the salaries that these professional athletes make for playing a game is obscene. ![]()
Wow.
With all these big deals going on in Seattle, it really makes you wonder how they're going to afford keeping the rest of their guys down the road. We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:He won the bowl prior to his contract extension, lets not forget that this is a "What has he done for me lately" league..Point taken, but it isn't as if he is a 12 year vet having last been to a Super Bowl 9 years earlier. He just won it all two seasons ago, and was a yard and <30 seconds away from winning back to back titles just last year. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
Quote:Point taken, but it isn't as if he is a 12 year vet having last been to a Super Bowl 9 years earlier. Extremely true, but I'm not trying to say Wilson isn't a good QB or that he didn't deserve an extension. What I am asking though, iyo, would the numbers on his contract be justifiable if he doesn't win another bowl? I mean, let's face the facts. There's only been 3 QB's in recent history who actually won multiple bowls. Brady, Roe and Eli (How Eli accomploshed that is totally debatable on a whole other level). So the odds are stacked against Wilson.. Quote:Extremely true, but I'm not trying to say Wilson isn't a good QB or that he didn't deserve an extension. What I am asking though, iyo, would the numbers on his contract be justifiable if he doesn't win another bowl?I would say it is justified. 1. He's a young QB still fresh off of two Super Bowl appearances. 2. The level of success sustained by the franchise under his leadership is unparalleled in team history, to say nothing of the period of time immediately prior to his arrival. 3. Seattle is still a young enough and talented enough team to make another run or two at the Super Bowl. You need to keep that team together as much as possible for as long as possible. You don't accomplish that by allowing your young, proven Super Bowl winning franchise QB walk by penny pinching. 4. You traded away your pro bowl C and a first round pick to get a pass catching TE for him. Seattle did the right thing. Given good health, they should be contenders for many years with him, and it would not surprise me to see him win another ring or two. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
Quote:Extremely true, but I'm not trying to say Wilson isn't a good QB or that he didn't deserve an extension. What I am asking though, iyo, would the numbers on his contract be justifiable if he doesn't win another bowl? Well let's face facts, how many QB'S will see numbers around or above or right at this? Only one can win the big one each year. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Would anyone be questioning if Wilson's contract is worth it if Wilson was 6'4 and everything else was the same?
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
No. In reality this is a steal. Two nfc championships one sb ring amd he had them up against atlanta with 30 seconds in his rookie season. It doesnt get any better than comeback wins in the playoffs and he gets them.
Congrats to him and the seahawks. No doubt they are built to head back to the Bowl. Can they win it again? Who knows...but they have a very solid shot at doing so.
