Jaguars' Marqise Lee fully cleared to practice
|
I feel that Sterling will make the 53 man roster regardless. He has caught everything that comes his way so far in camp. He's an unknown until pre-season arrives. If/When he performs well for all to see, placing him on the practice squad will be a No No... His upside is too great which is the reason that Caldwell drafted him instead of trying to acquire him via. undrafted free agency...

I haven't been able to get to a practice yet, but everything I've heard so far as been positive. I'm hoping he does make the 53 because you can't have too many sure handed big-bodied red zone targets IMO.
Jaguars Fundamentalist
Lee's inconsistent play and consistent trips to the training room have him lagging behind. Meanwhile, Hurns has been "steady as usual" while running opposite breakout candidate Allen Robinson. Regardless of who wins out between Hurns and Lee, we're not expecting much statistical production as the No. 3 target on a team that figures to play slow and scuffle offensively. - Rotoworld
It doesn't seem that Rotoworld is high on Hurns or Lee based on their comments, but they do talk highly of Allen Robinson as #1 WR on the team.
Quote:Lol could of had Matthews but let's draft the wr everyone passed on and is injury prone Everyone passed on Matthews aswel...

Quote:Are you saying everyone passed on the guy taken after him?No, he is saying if you claim that everyone passing on Lee should have told you something about Lee, then that same logic would have applied to Mathews as well considering he was picked after Lee. By the poster's logic, we should have passed on both, yet he is trying to say we should have known to pick Mathews since everyone passed on Lee. It's a logical fallacy.

Im glad you replied! I dont think I could of articulated myself so well to get my point across! That's exactly what I'm saying flawed logic.
Lee is expected to miss 2 weeks per Bleacher Report. Not horrible, but I have to think it's messing with his head, which could further injure him if he's trying to baby that leg
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
Imagine Thomas,Lewis and Sterling on the field at the same time. With Robinson spit wide. Secondary will have to eat their Wheaties.

Imagine Matt Jones, Reggie Williams, Ernest Wilford and Marcedes Lewis on the field at the same time...
Quote:Imagine Matt Jones, Reggie Williams, Ernest Wilford and Marcedes Lewis on the field at the same time... I'll pass on Matt Jones. Prefer guys that use two hands to catch the ball. I'll pass on Reggie Williams. Couldn't keep his emotions under control, and thought too much of himself too. Ernest Wilford was an underutilized under-appreciated gamer. Lewis I have been hot and cold on for years. All told, much prefer the current lineup. A-Rob and Hurns could be as good as Smith and McCardell. In any case, the best we've had since. Julius Thomas is the best TE we've ever had, and it's not close. Quote:Lee is expected to miss 2 weeks per Bleacher Report. Not quite as lee was considered a first round pick and Matthews was a second round talent like Arob now that would be some tandem
"Get Better Everyday"
Lee is lagging behind in developing chemistry with bortles. He's not the brightest crayon in the box. I think these nagging injuries hurt his mental approach to the game more than the physical reps.
That being said he has only missed 3 games so far in his career. We're deep at WR, let him heal and come back when he's ready. If he's going to make it in the nfl he's gotta mature and get more durable. Best ability is availability.

I think these nagging injuries hurt his mental approach to the game more than the physical reps. Agree with all of this. Lee is a typical #becausejaguars case that we've seen before and are all wary we are about to witness again. I'm hoping for the best in regards to Lee. His is just a silly training camp injury that probably means nothing. But based on what we all have experienced, it feels like a situation where we see such great potential that is about to be wasted... Again, I hope I'm wrong. But as far as Lee goes, I'm not expecting anything from him for this entire season. Because, you know.... That's kinda how it goes.... The bright side of all this is that we have a TON OF TALENT at WR. Thank you Mr. Caldwell. Quote:Not quite as lee was considered a first round pick and Matthews was a second round talent like Arob now that would be some tandemHe was considered a late first rd at best and that still doesn't change the fact that more teams passed on Mathews. All this confirms is that the draft pundits knew ahead of time that more teams would pass on Mathews. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Agree with all of this. Dang I hate to agree with the point made but it seems correct. Like you said, I hope not as well. Smh. I hope this guy turns out to be that 1st round pick everyone said he was at one time.
If you think I offended you, don't worry, I meant to. #facts

Interesting note:
Marqise Lee measured 6-0, 192lbs at the combine and coming into the league. On Jaguars Today yesterday, Hays Carlyon said the team asked him to bulk up in the offseason and he reported in at 206lbs this year. 6-0, 206lbs is a pretty nice sized WR with that speed. Quote:Interesting note: To state the obvious....not if he isn't playing. ![]() |
