Training Camp Twitter Update thread

@HaysCarlyon: #Jaguars OC Greg Olson believes he has an extremely intelligent group to work with, hasn't had to cut anything back.

@HaysCarlyon: Olson praised Yeldon's work in pass protection drills against #Jaguars linebackers on Thursday. Also said he's had some nice runs.

@ryanohalloran: Olson said possible that Wisniewski/Bowanko each get a preseason game start before #Jaguars make decision on center.

So who do you think wins the center spot?

@nflcharlie: I talked to #Jaguars WR Marqise Lee. He confirmed that he'd be out 2 weeks. Said it's not a big deal, mostly precautionary.

A lot of good stuff about Mike Bennett too. Good insurance, if not way more than that, until Marks comes back.

The fact that a professional athlete can't go a few days of running and cutting without pulling a hamstring or injuring his knee is a big deal.

My gut feeling is Wiz based on the trust factor/ ability to make calls. I think Bowanko offers more in the run game and has better potential though.

But I think it's totally up in the air.

Btw, what happened to you boy on Twitter?

I don't think it's really that surprising. He sat the whole offseason, came in and immediately not only went full-go, but logged the highest workload of all the WRs.

Wiz - we need the power.  The battle is 'open' but if Marrone picks Bowanko over Wiz (Olson's guy from Oakland who he brought in) then something is seriously off with Wiz's rehab (doesn't look like it) or Bowanko is a super star.  I think the reasonable assumption is Wiz is starting against Carolina.

Marrone was in Buffalo, Wiz from Oakland. Its the OC that was from Oakland

I think so too that Wiz wins.

Who's that, TMD? haha...funny because I just asked about him on Twitter. I'm legit concerned becauase this time of year he should be in full Gus bash mode or how Bortles has a hickup in his step, or something. Don't know where he is. He hasn't tweeted in weeks! Strange. Hope all is well with him

if that's true, our training staff and coaches need their heads checked.

Quote:Mike Kaye is terrific! I keep seeing Eagles fans in his mentions asking him to please come back! Ha, we're lucky we have him. Good content provided with back up vids.

Good hire for FCN. The other guys there are bozos.

Whoops brain fart.  Still the principle stands that Olson brought the guy in.

The term for passing gas is a bad word? Who knew?

They sat him the day before he pulled his hamstring due to having the highest WR workload per the GPS tracker they all wear.

So unless I'm unintentionally misstating something, it's true.

It is. You know our brass is direct. It was published that the Jags use a GPS system to measure workload, and Lee had topped it, hence scaling him back, before the tweak.

Eh, I find him unbearable. He's one of those guys who talks like he's the smartest guy in the room and knows every little thing. He was ok when he was on the Dempsey show but then he left them for the later time slot when 1010xl did their whole new line-up. Now he talks about golfing and his family like anyone cares. So bland and boring.

Honestly, for the most part our media coverage people suck, save a few.
