From what I saw:
House and Colvin looked good. McCray was never mentioned and that's usually a good sign for a CB. Parnell was solid and Joeckel much better. Odrick looked good. The 1st string run defense was strong. I thought Wiz outplayed Bowanko. Hurns was disappointing. Washington may very well be receiver #5. Scobee is definitely at risk of losing his job. On most plays there was only pseudo-tackles, so it's hard to tell whether or not a RB could have broken loose. Quote:How did Benn and Greene look? Benn had a few good catches. I don't recall Greene catching anything, believe he had a short kick return
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.
RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.
Quote:Are you serious or being sarcastic? He's serious. Scobee hasn't been bad, but Myers out kicked him pretty badly tonight. Not enough to lose his job but if the trend continues in the preseason games then it's a real possibility.

Quote:Are you serious or being sarcastic? If it's a true competition in camp then yes. Myers looked impressive tonight. I'm not sure how he has been in camp ( I'm from out of state). This is the last year on Scobee's contract. Cutting him in favor of Myers would be 937k in dead money. (If I'm looking at the numbers correctly) We could handle that with our cap situation
Last season was a nightmare FG-wise. Line was getting caved in, but was Scobee arcing it too low to compensate for declining leg strength?

Serious. Myers has a very strong leg, and (at least tonight) was accurate. He kicked a 60-yard FG nearly dead center with plenty of distance to spare, and made his other attempt. His one kickoff (I think it was his only one) cleared the end zone. It may all fall apart in preseason games, but it's an interesting possibility. I would like to see Myers win the job, we would have a nice young kicker with a powerful leg and we could use that extra 3 mill somewhere else next year
Quote:so was the offense really that trash The receivers weren't getting open, and the run was being stuffed. Some passes were completed in spite of tight coverage. If our games are going to be close this season then FGs are going to be critical for an offense that is still maturing. If Scobee misses a few in preseason and doesn't show some leg on kickoffs, Myers can win the job
