Cann had a pretty good scrimmage run blocking as well.

Quote:Bennett dominated him the last practice. We play Miami week 2, I sure hope Beadles is on the bench by then. Suh will have a field day

Well if we are lucky Suh will knock Beadles over and inadvertently step on him and get ejected by the 2nd quarter.

If Beadles is as bad as you all are making him out to be, I have no doubt he'll start week 1.

No sense in waiting a couple weeks and pulling what we did last year. I'm sure they'd like to have all the OLine positions settled by preseason game 3

I bet Wiz gets the C and Cann snags LG.

Let's not spaz yet.

By all accounts, Beadles has played better this camp and has outperformed Cann.

Maybe he had a bad day? It happens during the training camp grind.

then how do you explain an entire 2014 season of being not good?

he stunk then.  he stinks now.  will continue to stink.  i guess if he's the best we got, then ok... i guess that's the usual with this team.

There has been a lot of positive about Beadles in 2015 camp.  Not much to say about Cann.  I believe the coaches are leaning towards Beadles starting and Cann on the bench for the beginning of the season, albeit on a very short leash.

Perhaps Bennett is going to be that good...

I think Beadles starts week 1 too. If he proves to be a dud, they have options.

How many camp sessions have you been to? Let me guess...zero. And you will say "I don't have to go to training camp to know that Beadles stinks". Cool...carry on.

The big question mark remains the o line.

Joeckel would still be spinning.

As bad as Beadles may look in the link above, Cann has looked worse in the same drill. Beadles has looked better in this camp than last year. I've been to every practice but one and can tell you the 1s and 2s defense has put a hurt on the entire OL at one point or another. The sky is not falling...yet

I want to see the OL in a live full speed/contact situation first. It's one of those positions that's hard to really judge when they have to hold back

From the practices I have been to, Linder and Parnell are doing well. Beadles has been okay from what I have seen. Joeckel has been...not good.

Reminds me of a year and a half ago when I pointed out that Joeckel was bad and became resident dummy #1...

...but broken clock/blind squirrel and what have you.

Did everybody just freak out about Beadles because of 2 Vines of Training Camp? Literally 17 seconds of video? This "Beadles is terrible" thing needs to stop. He is what he is. He's mediocre. He's a middle of the road guard. He's probably gone after this year (assuming Cann is good) but he's almost certainly going to be starting the year at guard.

PFF isn't gospel but their OL rankings are on point and I'd much rather take their word for it over random people on the message board. Rankings in terms of guards who played at least 50% of snaps:

2012: 17/54

2013: 40/60

2014: 29/61

One above-average year, one below-average year, and one right in the middle. He's still under 30 and has hardly ever missed a snap, let alone a game. You want terrible? Remember Will Rackley? That's a bad guard. Beadles is ok.

Also given that his salary this year is fully guaranteed, the suggestion of cutting him is... a little silly. Barring a disaster pre-season he's the starter, and he should be.

Interesting that the unofficial depth chart shows two starting TEs, it will probably be very rare to see four WRs on the field this season.

No. Everybody didnt freak out. One or two posters who generally complain about anything did.

There were more but apparently there's a limit on the amount of quotes in a post?

Our front office thinking Beadles is any good seems like a big mistake.

Quote:Nobody can stop Suh, but I'd think the more physical Cann would have a marginally better chance than Beadles, who just doesn't look the part thus far.
