Winona Ryder Has Confirmed That 'Beetlejuice 2' Is in the Works Winona Ryder confirmed on Monday that Beetlejuice 2 is, indeed, happening. Ryder was only 17 years old (cast at 16) when the 1988 original was produced. Now 43, the star spilled the news on Late Night with Seth Meyers. http://www.zimbio.com/Screen+News/articl...aign=owned ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Some things just need to be left alone. With that said, if they are going to make a sequel, I'm glad they are using original cast members.

I hope they go with the original script written for a planned sequel that was never produced, :

Are they running out of good ideas in Hollywood? We're getting old enough that a lot of popular 80's movies are getting remade, Vacation, Beetlejuice, Poltergeist. If they start remaking John Hughes movies (breakfast club, pretty in pink), I'm putting my foot down!

I liked the original. But what was the last good thing that Tim Burton did?
