***Official around the league Pre-Season game thread***

Looks like Ameer Abdullah might be the real deal. RG3 looks like Robert Griffin III of last season. The Saints are getting hit hard by injuries in the Pre-Season opener. Tom Brady goes 1-4 on the night and looks rusty as expected. Both McCown and Manziel looked decent. McCown went a perfect 5-5 and a TD.

The Redskins back up QB Kirk Cousins usually looks good during PreSeason. I mean RG3 is slightly better because of his arm strength and mobility, but Cousins seems to be more intelligent and accurate with his throws.
I would say that Cousins appears to be equal to Chad Henne in talent, and that is why no team is willing to give up a 1st round pick for him. He's a solid starter despite the media hype. The Redskins Offensive Line looks to have improved, but despite having a lot of big names on Defense they seem to not play well together (a bunch of indiviuals /stars and not a star team). The Browns offense looks improved which was their weaker side of the ball for the last couple of seasons, but can Johnny keep his cool during the season? I think when it is all said and done the Browns will probably have the better record, but neither will make it to the Post Season. The Saints usually are slow to start every year it seems, but I am sure they will be more competitive than both the Redskins & Browns by the end of the year. The Patirots will continue to dominate as long as they have those two great TEs especially Rob (which appears to be the style of Offense Greg Olson is going with this year (if Lewis or Clay can step it up a bit).
Redskins loose Niles Paul for the season on a fractured and dislocated ankle in Pre-Season debut.

For the first look at Mariota in live action, the tacks game is on at 7pm on NFL network.

What was that about Mariota not throwing any INTs in practice??

I was pretty much alone on this board chanting for Ameer Abdullah to be the Jaguars second round pick. I find myself hoping that Yeldon looks as good.

Tyler Lockett looks like a real dangerous weapon on ST for the Seahawks. Russel Wilson has to love the idea of him setting up the offense with good field position as well as the occasional return TD.
Jaguars Fundamentalist
Seahawks fans are very unhappy with their o-line's performance and run-blocking (as opposed to our o-line's performance). The Seahawks have some young up and comers in Tyler Lockett and Frank Clark, but they had some major issues early on with ball-security.

Quote:What was that about Mariota not throwing any INTs in practice?? Well, if you wanna get technical, he still hasn't thrown any in practice. We all know how impressive that titans secondary is too.
