Quote:If you base your track record solely on what a player acomplishes in his first 4 seasons, then the probability is that you are going to miss out on a lot of good players. im failing to see the plethora of good players in the NFL who played so little in their first four years. not that ive done extensive research on it, i honestly just cant think of many players like this. This is what Otto can look like in this scheme, when you put a guy on or near the LOS who is 50lb lighter than his opponent.
Linebackers getting blocked by OL and TEs? Who would have ever imagined...? Traditional backers and schemes rely on DL to keep them clean. Not so for Otto.
"You do your own thing in your own time. You should be proud."
Does he have 26 tackles in his career? Am I reading this correctly? With 5 sacks?
Can't be
Skuta needs the starting DL in front of him before we should try to judge his performance. He is key in the run fits but the DL has to do their job too.
Yeah I won't make a judgment good or bad until the preseason is over and we see him playing with the starting d-line. I don't startle too quick.

What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
Jimmy Smith played sparingly with the Cowboys and was out of football when the Jags signed him. He had 22 receptions in 16 games his first season here.

Quote:A great story that is extremely rare. His teammate and fellow probowler, Keenan McCardell, wasn't a full time starter until his 6th season. Paul Spicer played sparingly his first 6 years and turned into an excellent player. There are plenty of examples out there. We show less advertisements to registered users. I don't even get what you're questioning. So nobody should ever take a risk on a player then? I guess that's the gist. Get over it already. ![]()
Quote:We took a risk on Mark Brunell and Jeff Lageman also And Marks
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

I guess that's the gist. Get over it already. Maybe backup a few pages. The point of this thread is about his arguably poor performance. I said maybe he is not that good, and odds are he isn't. To which certain people want to argue about. If you can't handle the argument, get out.
Quote:Marks was a well established starter. I guess. I looked at him more from production than starts.
