Dan Skuta got blocked in the dirt a couple times

Apparently it's not "ok to disagree," so let's not feed the troll.

Saying Dan Skuta is likely just an average player is not a troll post. If you think it is then i suggest you go other places in the Internet and find out what trolling really is. Quote:Sure it is... What are you talking about? You're our resident example. No need to go anywhere else. It's why you've prearranged it in your signature. You've already marked your intent.

So we've agreed that it is possible for a player who didn't have a lot of playing time early in their career to become productive?
Making up
Evidence Depending on Information Available Quote:Maybe he is hoping for your sake that you are trolling? Because I said Skuta is likely an average player... Ya that's just crazy talk
Quote:Because I said Skuta is likely an average player... Ya that's just crazy talk Possibly. But the contract is structured so there is zero dead money after this season. So I doubt the team is looking at him as a long term solution. Quote:Possibly. But the contract is structured so there is zero dead money after this season. So I doubt the team is looking at him as a long term solution. That is basically what I'm saying. He is probably nothing more than a stop gap player. We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:<div></div> ![]() Quote:Justin Forsett - okAre you just making these reviews up? Jordy Nelson didn't even break 600 yrds receiving in a season until his 4th year. Emmanuel Sanders didn't break 1000yrds until his 5th season. Martellus Bennett was a situational guy who wasn't a full time starter until his 5th season. Romo didn't even take a snap in his third season. I never said anything about Mike Adams except he went to the pro bowl. So someone obviously thinks he is opretty good. Quote:Are you just making these reviews up?Emmanuel Sanders had 44 catches in 3rd year. Pretty good for a young guy and he looked good while doing it. Nelson 45 catches in 3rd year. Again, pretty good. Also a 2nd round pick and probably starts on one team for duration of career. Not similar to Skuta at all. Not a story about a guy who "came on late" like you are trying to say. That is typical progression for most receivers. Nothing un-ordinary about it. Sorry Romo became a star for Dallas in his 4th season. My point still stands. Year 3 vs year 4 is not a huge difference. As for Bennett.. Ya I stand by what I already said; he has been contributing for every team he played for. He was a highly regarded talent in the draft, a physically gifted freak. Adequate production early for a TE2 and started many games in first 4 years at DAL, Productive full time starter for NYG in 5th, best years in CHI. We show less advertisements to registered users. I guess it's a joke now... Calling perfectly reasonable responses trolling. Ha... Ha Quote:Possibly. But the contract is structured so there is zero dead money after this season. So I doubt the team is looking at him as a long term solution.Caldwell knows how to write em up. If he shines, you win. If he doesn't, minimal impact to cap, draft the ideal guy (or fish in FA again) Quote:How are "not that good" and "average" much different? They arent... at allAwful------Bad-----Average----Good----Awesome I would consider "not that good" a negative statement, therefore you must consider that bad. Average is average, in itself, self-explanatory. Therefore not that good and average are different. And while they might not be much different, they are different, at all. "much different" and "different at all" are different in themselves as well. Soooooo... you lose. I think. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:Because I said Skuta is likely an average player... Ya that's just crazy talk Average player with an above average salary for a position of need in our defense. If he fits then he'll have above average production. I'll definitely take it. The OTTO position is so unknown to me since it hasn't worked and we've altered the scheme in the last few years to work around the lack of talent.
Quote:Awful------Bad-----Average----Good----Awesome Definitely. You hook up with a chick and she tells her friends you're not that good. ..... That would really suck !! You hook up with a chick and she tells her friends that you were average. While not the best compliment, once can certainly live with that remark. Quote:Awful------Bad-----Average----Good----Awesome It is also about the perspective. From mine, I say average in the NFL is a positive quality. Average athletes that can play in the NFL for a long time don't grow on trees. Just because a guy doesn't rack up eye popping stats or makes flashy plays, doesn't mean fans should rail on the guy. |
