We can still end up with the top overall pick.

Even if Tampa loses, we're still only a game behind them and alone at the 2nd overall pick right now.

Yep. I still think we get the top pick.

Very glad we won't be going 0-16

Doesn't matter, we are guaranteed not to get the first pick if we win more games. Although I think  Tampa will win a game.

Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster

The players and coaches are not going to tank. As bad as I want the Jaguars to get the #1 pick next year, I cannot control what the players and coaches do. Therefore, I choose to enjoy this and any other victory, because to do anything else will have no effect other than make myself miserable.

Yep, just have to hope we draft smarter, cause I don't see Teddy happening after today, I feel like we got a couple more wins in us. Our D was pretty decent today, I liked it.

Like I said in the other topic -- a victory against the tacks is always nice.  But it felt like we beat a high school team out there.  I want to see a win where both teams play well, or at least our team plays well on both sides of the ball and completely destroys the other team.  It seems the only wins we've gotten recently are from teams playing absolutely awful football against us.

When wins start bringing hope, I'll be a lot happier.  But right now they just bring sort of complacency.  Yay, we're not going 0-16.  Rather than 'Yay!  We beat them and we know we're the better tteam!'

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Those concerned with draft order need only look to our O-line to feel comfort.

Without another  +4 turnover ratio - this offense won't score enough to win any more games.  I don't see that happening.

I'm not so much concerned with draft order, as I am... not as thrilled about the win because it shouldn't have been nearly as close as it was.  The way the Titans played... even as bad as we've been, we should have won by more than 2 points.  To me that doesn't bring hope.  The tacks were absolutely garbage today.

We beat the Titans today by 10+ points, and I'd be really excited about it.

Have to admit, if we're going to win a game - make it against the tacks.

We're saying the same thing here.  ^

The draft order reference wasn't directed at you, but toward the inevitable onslaught of the "meaningless win" crowd.   I agree that it wasn't the most satisfying win, but I enjoyed seeing the defense play scrappy for the majority of the game and force a couple of the turnovers.  The tacks definitely shot themselves in the foot just enough to keep the Jags in it.

RIght when I was just about to quit being a jags fan, we win.Just kidding, I love this team. There's nothing we can do about that ugly 8 loss mark on our record, lets win some more games and finish strong. We're going to be in one of the top 3 picks, so we'll get someone worthwhile
