"We're further along than we anticipated" Bradley on offense

Quote:Really. His statement was the real head-scratcher. Sort of crazy to think we are more confident in the offense than the defense.

That's what they were talking about on the radio yesterday. All of the hosts (IIRC Prisco, Boselli, Lags) were all saying they have more confidence in the offense than the defense. Such thinking is almost inescapable given how things have transpired thus far. The offense has shown the most improvement, even without some key cogs (JT, Lee, Yeldon). The defense has seemingly regressed without some key players (Marks, Fowler). Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
Quote:So now the receivers are trash? Sorry, not really buying that. I think the drops will be fixed. I do agree that Thomas will be a weapon in this offense, and not having him out there hurts right now. It also hurts to not have the guy you're planning to have as your starting running back on the field. I'm not expecting every touchdown to come through the passing game this year. What leads you to believe the drops will be fixed? Hurns hasn't improved in that department. ARob is fine and Thomas has great hands but Hurns?
Quote:Sort of crazy to think we are more confident in the offense than the defense. Which is funny, bc once Bortles took over, we cut Guy, and started McCray, our defense was around 10th in the league. (Someone ran the numbers this past summer) The def rankings were just skewed bc we got crushed bad early. I'm not worried about the defense. I think we'll be around 15th. We don't play a lot of high power offenses this year either. But the fact that we're feeling better about offense than defense should be huge. Olson has had really good offenses when given talent.
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
Quote:What leads you to believe the drops will be fixed? Hurns hasn't improved in that department.Hurns is just one piece of the equation. Whether he's able to overcome the drop issues or not, he's capable of making big plays. If you get 1 big play for every 1 drop, I'd call that a worthy trade off. With Robinson and Thomas out there, and the new additions contributing as well, I don't really have a huge concern about what this passing offense CAN become. If Bortles keeps hitting them with passes that are catchable, eventually they're going to make the plays. If they don't, they'll be replaced with someone who can. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Quote:I don't see any skew here. I already answered this question. At the end of the game which team lead most offensive categories? Simple question and answer.
Quote:I already answered this question. At the end of the game which team lead most offensive categories? Simple question and answer. Because the stats from the 3rd stringers make all the difference. Give it a rest.

Quote:Thank you for your honesty Thank you for validating my pressimistic view . I have that expectation as well. But I'd like to know where and how our offense is further along? Because maybe my expectations of this team winning 6 games is too high.FTFY We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:I wouldn't call a D-Line with Sheldon Richardson and Muhammad Wilkerson weak. Add Revis, Gilchrist and Cromartie on the back end. Still got Colon, Mangold, Ferguson, solid vets, on the Oline I never understood the extreme low rankings for the Jets lately. They think subpar QBs, new coach, so slash em. That roster is overall better than half the league right now.
Success is a journey, not a destination. Go all out Mighty Jaguars.

That's why I was disappointed we didn't do more in the offseason. Now with our top two LEOs, one is on IR and the other AWOL. And, help is not on the way. If our sack totals drop, we must still have pressure. Somehow, some way.
"You do your own thing in your own time. You should be proud."
Well, funny that after their solid offseason acquisitions this year, they are considered 'worse' by the misinformed.

To Kane, that is...
