RGIII
|
So, I've been thinking about this for a while,
If RG3 doesn't turn his career around, I would have to call him the biggest bust in NFL history. Keep in mind, talent wise, I don't think he's up there with Leaf/ Jamarcus Russell. But even those two clowns didn't cost their team 3 first rounders and a 2nd. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

That's obviously not his fault, but it has to be taken into account.
I may be one of the few that thinks RGIII and his issues are more so to do with the current organization than his talents. The Redskins seem to be doing everything to not support that man.

San Diego gave up the farm to get him, and he was an abject failure in every imaginable sense of the word. He never contributed anything but interceptions, heartburn and headaches to the Chargers. The only way someone takes a higher rung than Leaf is if an even worse whiff is made by someone who traded the farm to move up to the first overall pick for an unmitigated Chernobyl of a quarterback. JaMarcus Russell is right up there and you could make a case for him, but the Raiders "earned" the first overall pick to get him. Otherwise, he was no better than Leaf. RG3, to me, isn't even in that conversation. He looked like he was going to live up to his promise as a rookie, then injuries and Shanahans happened to him. He hasn't yet adapted to playing without the same sort of mobility that he had coming out of college, and, tbqh, pro teams should have known that he was one ACL tear away from mediocrity. He's still a square peg in the round hole that is Jay Gruden's offense. If he lands on a team that will let him be who he is instead of trying to make him into a pocket passer (I know, that's not a good thing to say about a QB), I still think he could be a good pro QB. He'll never live up to his billing at this point, but he's still young and has time to turn it around. Quote:No way. IMO, no one will ever touch Ryan Leaf for that title. I'm not saying he is a worse player than Jamarcus or Leaf, nor am I saying he can't turn it around, because he does have talent. Dan Snyder destroyed the Redskins long before he decided to trade for Griffin.

Quote:Cousins going to start. Me thinks RG3 won't stay and they're trying to get trade value for Kirk The end result out of all of this could well be the Redskins end up with Pick # 1 in the 2016 Draft, the current coaching staff is canned, and the next Head Coach will have a new QB in another rebuilding product for the franchise. Gruden got shown up by Harbaugh the other day. Was glorious, def done as HC in Washington
Here you go, read this:

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
This is just bizarre considering all of those people on this board who swore up and down that RG3 was far superior to Luck.

Quote:Cousins named starter, not surprising. Alright! Now I can consider drafting Desean Jackson in my fantasy league. RG3 brought down the value for everybody on the team. Always tried to make it happpen with his legs. Now maybe they can have more offensive opportunities.
I'm just laughing at what Washington gave up to get him..... SMDH....
GO JAGS!!
Let's Get Em!!!! Go Jags!
He needs to go to a team with an entrenched starter like Miami, Seattle, or Carolina and sit for a couple seasons. All those teams have QBs that can run, but they're successful enough from the pocket where they don't necessarily need to run. RG3 can learn some humility sitting behind one of those QBs, try to understand what it takes to be a passer in this league without the pressure of being a team's savior, and hope to reset his career in 2017-2018.

I'm not even counting the injury factor. Hopefully, all of their QBs will get and then stay relatively healthy. Right now, it's hard to envision Jay Gruden being the Redskins HC for the 2016 season. Quote:Redskins under Danny Boy:Ouch! They deserve it! Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

Some great candidates have come in and Snyder either drove them away (Schottenheimer), or with his meddling failed them miserably (Shanahan). I'm sure like Jones, he wanted to have a splash type hire and will in the future. But eventually I think he will want someone he can control. It can't end well for them. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
