The Ravens cut DeAndre Carter (the Jags should sign this guy)

The guy is undersized at 5'9 185 Lbs but dominated at the FCS level and put up explosive numbers at his proday (4.44 40, 38 inch vert, 10'6 broad jump), Steve Smith compared him to Randall Cobb. The Jaguars should take a flyer on a guy like this, he's got some nice upside and is athletically and physically similar to Brandin Cooks.

They need to pick him up because he played for my Alma Mater. (Sacramento State)

Even if we got him, he'd get hurt...

Can he help block for Bortles? This team has enough decisions to make at WR for the time being.

Meh, I'd rather take a(nother) look at Jarrett Boykin.

Assuming Walter is our last WR, I'd rather have Boykin.

Meh. Considering how bad Carolina's WR's are going to be this year if he can't stick on their roster that says a lot about his ability.

LOL @ "meh"

So if the Packers pick him up, Carolina is smarter than the Packers?

Carolina has gotten what, exactly, right since their trip to the SB?

smh

They released him this soon to catch on elsewhere, which is likely to happen.

The Packers did pick him up and let him go. Considering he can't stick on a roster with probably the worst WR depth behind the Browns doesn't exactly give me the greatest confidence in his abilities. They released him because they found someone they deem to be better.

Jarrett Boykin | FA

(September 1, 2015 9:49 AM EDT)

Panthers released WR Jarrett Boykin.

The acquisition of Kevin Norwood from Seattle on Monday likely sealed his fate. Boykin caught 49 passes with the Packers in 2013 but has struggled to find playing time since. Being cut by a receiver-needy team like the Panthers is not a great sign for his NFL future. Carolina also cut S Robert Lester.

I'm well aware of that.

However, you probably aren't aware of this:

Oh man I didn't see this. I did like Deandre Carter quite a bit I would very much like to give him a shot here. He would be better suited to fill the slot WR down the road than anyone else on our roster except maaaaybe the Albino Tiger.
