A Fantasy Football League for the rest of us

(This post was last modified: 09-07-2015, 10:22 PM by Flagler Jagsfan.)

So, I wanted to join a FF league with other Jags fans, but I guess I am too late. Because I'm way too cool to be simply overlooked by any existing league for a team slot.

It appears that some other teal family would like to be a part of a league as well. So, even though I am already managing 2 other leagues, I would still like to be in a Jaguars Fantasy Football league, and would be willing manage a league for interested board members. First come first serve. First 10 to sign up are in (just use this post to accept the invite). I will PM you details/password

I will be doing the league through the NFL website. Standard Format, PPR, would like to have only 10-12 players. Looking to do the draft probably Tuesday night (negotiable), before the first official game on Thursday. 6 points for all TD's. 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 K, DEF. This league is only for those who are serious. If you don't log on frequently to check messages/trades, and don't bother to change out your bye players during their bye weeks, then this is not the league for you.

If you join, your team name must have something to do with Jaguars. And let's make it interesting: you must maintain at least 1 jaguar player on your roster at all times. Draft wisely. Ninja

4. rufftime

You're in, check your PM's. Yes, there are 10 players to chose from, some are more legitimate options than others. Some may show promise later in the season. This will make the draft more interesting. If you know you have to have at least 1 jaguar player on the team, you might want to draft a viable Jaguar player earlier than usual. Otherwise he's just eating up a spot on your bench. It will be a race to see who can get Arob, Yeldon, JT, and Scobee,

I believe this will be my 4th league(I manage my main in NFL, have one on both espn and yahoo) but I'm down. I'm not 100% sure how the draft will work for me as I'm on PST(California) however I should be able to be a bit flexible.

Kinda love the idea of a Jag player and team name as must haves.

It will make things interesting. I originally had thought just have at least 1 Jag player on your team. I'm thinking it might be very interesting to have at least 1 Jag in your weekly lineup.

I feel like weekly line up might be a bit hard, I mean yes you can toss someone in, but that also might mean a spot wasted point wise. If that makes sense. Then again if you drafted well enough one player your forced to use might not effect you.

Why not, I'll join. Ill try my best for Tuesday though. A Jag just had to be on your team, not start correct?

You just have to keep 1 on your roster. I bounced around the idea of making everyone start a jags player, but that would actually be unfair to whoever didn't get JT, Yeldon, or AR15.

LOVE IT.

This is my first time playing fantasy football. I'm pretty sure I have the grasp of it having played fantasy soccer for years and trawling through tid bits on fantasy sites...any key information I should know before we start?.

Nothing too important. Pay attention for injuries, bye-weeks, and keep your eye out on players that are starting to break out. You'll want to grab them before anyone else.

What Sosa said. If you haven't already done so, do several mock drafts so that you are familiar with how the NFL draft client works. Order of drafting will be randomized before our official draft. Have to put a player in each position spot, as listed in the original post, and you have 6 additional players on your bench that you substitute for positions in your weekly line-up, if you want. Make sure to have at least 1 jaguar player on your team, even if they just sit.the bench all season. Other than that, have fun and participate!
