Quote:12 teams, standard type league, snake draft. I drafted at #12. Did you draft McCoy and Beckham at 12 & 13 overall? Just curious. I like those picks but the rest of your team looks like you should've had better options in the round you were drafting in.

I should post my lineup from our 10-team family league. But it's not really fair. Let's just say half of them aren't a very football savvy bunch.
To put it another way...one guy drafted Danny Woodhead in the 4th round. ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

IIRC yes those were my first two picks. I'm still kind of a noob when it comes to FF, but I feel like I did alright. According to the draft analysis from NFL.com my draft was graded A- and projected me for a 3rd place finish at the end of the season (for what that's worth). I welcome any advice. I've only been playing for about 4 or 5 years so I'm no expert either and didnt mean to come off as such. You could very well go 10-3 and get the #1 seed in your playoffs for all I know. I just didn't see much star power on your team outside of your first two picks but there are players I like and players I don't. It's all subjective. The guys I like could end up having a terrible year. I loved Montee Ball and Keenan Allen last year and that didn't turn out so hot. I drafted Peterson #3 overall and he didn't net me a point. Despite what all the experts say, FF is largely a game of chance. As long as you have fun with it and don't take it too seriously, go for it. That's my motto.

As someone who is also a little thin at RB I'll share some advice. I'd probably get rid of Hillman and handcuff Jennings with the Giants RB of your choice, as Jennings as never started 16 games in his career. When you decide on a DEF is also use that freed up spot on a flier at RB. Someone like a Terrance West type who could emerge as a starter at some point. Or if you like Hillman to be that flier guy, drop the Def for the handcuff.

You didn't come off as anything at all and I agree, this should just be a fun thing to do. I don't spend a whole lot of time preparing for the draft, and just try to take the BAP that I perceive each round. My original plan was to load up on WR and RB in the first 4 rounds or so, but I kind of panicked a bit regarding QB and messed up my plan. I do think that I got pretty good value getting Allen Robinson in the 10th round. Just curious. Which players do you not like so much and why? There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Quote:As someone who is also a little thin at RB I'll share some advice. I'm not sure what you mean by "handcuff Jennings". My initial plan was to drop the Tennessee Def after this first week and pick up Denard Robinson off of waivers, but somebody already snagged him. I like the Tennessee Def vs. Tampa Bay more than Baltimore Def vs. Denver in week one. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.

Jennings and Hillman are average at best. TEs are also thin since Julius is all you've got. I don't think anybody would draft Heath Miller at this point. Your WRs are the strength of your team by far. If I had to guess, I think you'll be in contention for a playoff spot, especially if you're in a PPR league (can't remember if you said if it was or not). From there, it's a crapshoot. So yeah, QBs and and WRs are good and I'd look to the waiver wire or trade route to possibly bolster your RBs or TEs.

Handcuffing is a popular strategy when you have an injury prone running back or a valuable running back that has a clear back up. It's basically insurance in case of an injury to your starter. For example in tonight's game, anyone who drafted Le'Veon Bell should have also picked up DeAngelo Williams. The problem for you is that it isn't clear yet who would get the majority of the work if Jennings were to miss time.

I received a trade offer today. I'm giving up Arian Foster for Latavius Murray and DeSean Jackson. Heck, I might've given up Foster for Murray straight up so getting Jackson is just an added bonus (although he'll be on my bench). To make room, I waived Charles Sims. So net result is gaining Murray & Jackson and losing Foster & Sims.
