Josh Scobee

If Scobee hadn't missed those two field goals, it would have been 20 - 28 and that Antonio Brown touchdown with 2 seconds left to play would have put the Steelers merely a two-point conversion away from tying the ballgame.

Ouch.

I've never seen Scobee shank one like that first miss. The 2nd miss wasn't too bad, and he drilled the 40+ yard third kick. I think he will be fine this year and I'll be rooting for him. I'm sure Josh would have loved to finish out his career as a Jag, and I'm glad he will get to kick in some important games this year.

That first one was almost certainly primarily caused by the poor hold, however it did also look like a quite shallow angle that may have been tipped anyway.  I think some of this was not being used to his holder-- could it be that it takes more than a week or so to get used to a new holder and get on the same page for comfortable kicking?

It's a long season.   But with 8 regular season games in the most difficult place to kick FGs in the NFL,   Josh Scobee needs to get back in the groove fast.

Brandon Marshall and Rashean Mathis are two that spring to mind. Pot Roast had that one good year too.

and don't again...  I bet he misses the mild weather in Jax!!   2 blown kicks and it's now tied...    I wonder what the contract situation is for him??? Did the Jags pick up some of his deal???

Scobee gone 2 minutes after this game.

TPC Sawgrass Beckons...  How can a guy who was so clutch for years miss so many???  I guess kicking for Jags had no pressure since relatively few ( us) cared.

Yeah, that look on Tomlin's face right after the 2nd missed kick just about said it all.

Scobee is done.

Scobee's gone after this game. No way does he stay on the team.

I love the guy but he's been awful.

Tomlin playing way to conservative gets some of this blame.
