Quote:Agreed not really interested in him, but I do think a few Free Agents that would be good for only this season (1 year signing) that GM Dave Caldwell might want to consider is

Santana Moss (Redskins former Jets player) - small guy has a knack of getting open due to route running, decent hands, lost some speed as an aging veteran. Wes Welker (Patriots and then Denver WR)- (if Walters is cut or Greene to PS,) another 1 year contract risk good for short yardage, trusty hands in traffic.

What about Reggie Wayne (Former Colt) - he said playing in NE was too tough, but he should have it easy in Jax.

Santana Moss? The last time he played with Washington, he averaged one catch per game. Even Lee with his busted hamstring did better than that! If Wes Welker gets on a football field again, there's a possibility he might die. Way too big of a concussion concern, not to mention his alleged affinity for Molly, for anyone to take a chance on him. Wayne took a look at the New England WR corps and Tom freakin' Brady and essentially stated "Nah, I'm good." What makes you think he would even want to come to Jacksonville to play?!

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

The Jags aren't signing any older free agent WRs at this point.  It's okay to let it go.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

You're kidding, right?

Hell...why don't we bring in Tim Brown or Jerry Rice while we're at it. Maybe we could wheel Lance Allworth out there in a wheelchair.

James Lofton was a beast in Tecmo Bowl and is not currently on a roster. He would bring a good veteran presence.

Those guys won't be cheap though...you need to take it a step down and think Jake Reed or Henry Ellard.  :teehee:

Art Monk made the Hall, but I'm sure he'd like to pad his stat line some more.
