Marcus Mariota

Mariota is allowed to be good too. If Bortles keeps progressing like he is, I'll be more than happy with our choice.

Quote:And that is all he has done is quoted stats. Anyways, no way around it. Bortles struggled last year. Yet we aren't arguing for last year. We are talking about this year.
The thing is, historically rookies usually do struggle.  I think a lot of people put WAY too much stock into Mariota's first game, just as they're giving too much weight to Bortles rookie year.  It's rare a rookie comes in and plays well enough to be considered among the better QBs in the league.  More often than not, they are going to struggle as they adjust to the NFL game and the different looks they've never seen before.  Bortles certainly ran into that last year, and Mariota will probe to be a mere mortal as well as the season progresses and the amount of game tape teams have to game plan against him increases.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Sadly Mariota having another good game.  185 yards passing in the first half.  Does have an INT that was taken back to the house but looked like it was a pass his WR should have caught but was popped up into the air and turned into a gift INT.

Mariota is now 20-29 for 266 and 2 TDs.  He is better than Bortles....

Mariota has blown this game

Reminds me of some of the great minds showing up to thump their chest at halftime of last week over Bortles passing stats in the first half.

Defense blew this game letting Indy back in it.

So it wasn't Marcus throwing the INT in his own territory with his team up by a score? Was that the defense throwing that INT?

Didn't help but we let them score right before that. Momentum was theirs.

At least you can take solace that he threw 4 TDs in a game once.

THANK YOU

Makes our loss much more bearable knowing Colts are 0-3. Oh nevermind, weekend ruined

And he lost the game.

haha... you have to at least appreciate the blind homerism and loyalty of this board.

The guy ties the record for the most TDs every thrown by a QB in his first three games.  Just threw for 380 yards in only his 3rd ever game... more than Bortles has ever passed for.  And actually marched his team down at the end of the game to score a TD.  But yea Bortles is just as good....

Outside of that awful INT he played a great game, hist first INT was hardly his fault.

Bortles just as good? I'm not sure when anyone said that about his performance today. Mariota did okay, but the titans obviously aren't a great team, including their QB, everyone else the colts have played dominated them completely.

I take solace in the fact that he's a good QB and we will win a lot of games with him. And the fact that he's a better QB than Bortles.

It was against a team who is playing their Practice Squad DB's.

Do you realize the Colts were the 13th ranked pass defense coming into the game, while the Patriots were the 22nd?
