we still can't compete with a team with an elite quarterback. I may not like the dolts, but andrew luck is a much better quarterback than blake bortles may ever be. Luck showed us the 'goods' right off the bat... what has blake shown us but 'lots of effort' and 'willingness to work'... and bad decision making, bad throws, and bad technique.

I'm seriously starting to question his 'franchise quarterback' tag, as he really looks more like a backup. I'm also really, really, starting to view Dave Caldwell less than favorably. His pick for HC and our franchise quarterback is looking shaky.
Go away

I wish we can get a score like this. Can we ever blowout a opponent.

After this game, there will be a revolt. I predict a beatdown of similar proportions to the Patriots game. Andrew Luck will slice and dice our secondary to shreds.

Go Jags!

And a fine ostrich you are. You can keep your head in the sand if you want. I'm making a prediction based on observation. The observation is that this team still has a long way to go.

The sand is cool. Join me in being a Jags fan. Conjure up some clot hate with me and predict a Jags win. It feels soooo good.

I hope I'm wrong...

But I think you're pretty much correct.  Except it won't be a revolt.  It will be a down right apocalyptic melt-down in The Jungle.

This game will be similar to all games...

BB5 does his part, tries really hard and keeps us in the game for the 1st half.  We score 1 TD and 2 FGs while we look pretty good on offense for the first half.

The D does well in the first half as well, the give up 1 TD and 1 FG and we wind up in the first half leading the game.

2nd half blows up for us...

Probably 1 INT.  Maybe 1 FG...

Luck takes us apart as our offense seems to not be able to get a first down even while BB5 is hitting recievers but they just can't seem to bring down catchable passes...

The D wears down.  Luck winds up with 4 TDs and 400 yards...

End score,

clots -  38

Ice cream eaters - (Blake scores a 2nd half TD and drives the team to FG range, but we still can't really execute)  23

I like the optimism by some in this thread, but unless we can figure out a way to establish a running game early it won't matter if Luck or Hasselbeck is under center for the clots.  23 - 20 clots.

Not being able to run the ball effectively is killing us and probably hurting Blake's development.  He isn't Brady/Rodgers/Manning and because he isn't he can't command the defense to play honest.

Quote:We don't have an aggressive D, we rarely blitz and only rush 4, then there is the soft zone D. Colts 42-20.

Yea I don't like the premise of our defense, you need at least two elite pass rushers to rush 4 and play coverage effectively, those guys are tough to find. I'd rather play an aggressive style of defense (rush at lest 5 on passing downs) pressuring a QB (most are bad) to make quick smart decisions, personnel is obviously important but the best d-coordinators are able to "scheme" pressure without having elite pass rushers. "If you play zone you better get home".

PFF ranked Vonte the number 1 CB (Colts) and Ty number 8 of best WRs!

Dont worry they mentioned a Jaguars, Tyson Alualu as the worst Interior Defensivelineman in the League.

sigh...

Lots of talk here in Indy about how Luck is in bad shape and even suggestions he should be given the week off for Hasselbeck.

If the Dolts win convincingly, there will be no joy in Mudville and "Two Scoops" Bradley will be feeling the pressure.

I don't think we will get over the hump, although I think we should.
