Atl since DC left: Trufant (good), Matthews (stud), Beasley (rising star)

Jax: Joeckel, Bortles, Fowler

Sigh...

The Joke is done.

Bortles has bank time left.

Fowler could be Reggie White.

So why you sighin'?

Jake Matthews is exhibit A in how quickly things can change in the NFL.   Last season,  most considered Matthews' rookie season disappointing to say the least.    All it took was 3 games to change the minds of many,  if not most.

WoW, that's a reach.  A rookie who hasnt even played in a PreSeason game coming off of a torn ACL is now going to be a Hall of Fame DE like Reggie White?

Come on, man step away from the teal koolaid and go dance...

Imagine if we had drafted Anzah, Mack, Carr, and Amari instead of the Joke, the struggling Bortles, and the hurt Fowler. smh.

That's not really fair, because it is a bit of gambling most GMs have a few players that never pan out... some players are good simply because of the talent at coaching (as long as they are atheltic), while others might have a great skill set but are used wrong or coached badly (one could say that is true about RG3 for example).

it is different if the GM or scouting dept as they are a big part of it, fail on all the picks (his first year was a bad draft across the board for most teams not having success especially in the 1st round)

while his 2nd year of drafting has so far looked rather good especially undrafted Hurns, and 6th round Telvin Smith!

Unfortunately, this is not something us as jags fans had a chance to experience but its called player development and progression. Matthews had growing pains but is now playing to his potential.

Joke keeps sputtering, Bortles continues to disappoint, Fowler I'll give a pass to but hes got some large shoes to fill the way Beasley, Dupree, and Armstead have performed thus far.

It just seems like a really underwhelming crop yet again. Time will tell.

There's risk in the draft?  You don't say...

We're all over Telvin and Hurns on this board, but lets be honest. We aren't talking about elite players at their position here. Sure they were great value and nice additions to the team, but those two aren't cornerstone players.

I wonder what your boss would say to you if you bungled your primary job responsibility for 2 possibly 3 straight years.

I'm sure he/she would empathize that your job entailed risk.

Should've gotten Randy Gregory too. He fell way too far in the draft not to grab him, and you know he's going to be above average.

That's a pretty narrow definition of "primary job responsibility" and a pretty liberal definition of "bungled", but otherwise you're doing well.

Is it just me that hasn't give up on BB yet? I still think he could be our franchise QB seen a lot of improvement from last year don't let a game against the SB champs define him

This 20/20 hindsight is for LOSERS!

Maybe these LOSERS should just GIVE UP and jump on the Patriots Bandwagon.

This is stupid. Any team could play this 'what if' game any year. Hell...why not start with all the teams that passed on Brady and 'what if' that draft too?
