Ole Miss-Florida Game Thread

The Gator D puts a stamp on it. That was a TD. The Frosh got robbed.

The question that I have is will Fla be ranked above Ole Miss on Monday?

They should be, but it wouldn't surprise me if they weren't.

Gators should be ranked #3 now.

Yep. And they figured they would be cruising this season until the LSU game later this year. Nobody including Ole Miss figured FLA had a chance in this game. They flat overlooked them and Florida came to play.

Just like the Jaguars will come to play tomorrow against the Colts.

i find it funny and ridiculous that people in the national media are like, "wow the Gators defense is legit" as if it wasn't already good before this game.

They played great tonight. Looks like they finally put together a complete game. They've still yet to prove they can do it consistently. It will be fun to watch.

I'm not going to lie, I'm impressed.  They dominated the entire game.  Run, pass and defense.  Grier couldn't be stopped.  Not sure if that was because McElwain saw something on tape that he could expose or if Grier was just seeing the field that well.  They seemed way more confident in the passing game and that opened up the run.  Right now, the 4 team race is wide open.  Top teams are struggling and we are seeing upsets and bounce backs each week.  I like this type of college football where the playing field seems to be leveled.  Anyways, FSU looks completely average and that relatively easy win I saw at the end of the year now looks like an upset.  I'll be there to see it either way!

Great win for Florida. Sort of stunned by that performance tonight.

I didn't hear what you heard, but when you mix that with them completely shutting down the #3 team who just put a ton of points on alabama, I'm not surprised to hear that.  If anything, take it as a compliment.  No one expected the gators to win, much less dominate the entire game from start to finish.  But... you are badger and complain regardless so not a shocker.

You think McElwain could win with Brantley and driskel? Didn't they have a walk on qb starting at one point? What was his name?

Just take a look at mcelwains track record. Some people forecasted this. I was one of them, but I definitely didn't think it would happen so quickly.

Edit: hopefully this keeeps up

I am with you on the top teams. Right now there is really no separation between the "top teams" and everyone else. No one is separating as the teams to beat right now.
