Guys...it's time to move on.

When did MJD get fat? Is it just his hair that makes him look fat or is it the fat that makes him look fat?

Quote:Watch Lageman's Film Room of the tacks game. Because he has two plays of MJD running over defenders.

He ran over McCarthy. Griffin tackled him.

If you want to consider one play from the Titans game to support your opinion, then there's nothing I can argue against. He also had a stiff-arm on a longer run earlier in the year, but that doesn't mean he's doing that to everyone. That's a low standard that anyone can meet.

So with your first sentence you admit you were wrong, and with your second sentence you're wrong AGAIN. Griffin made contact well before the first down marker, MJD didn't go down until well past the first down marker.

So basically, this one time, MJD made a play. So he should have said that MJD is only 95% ineffective this year.

Ignore the big picture.

He ran over a tackler. He's ineffective. You're using an argument that, because he had one play, he's still the old MJD.

Sorry. I should have been clear while arguing with you. With the exception of approximately 5-10 plays, he's been useless 95% of the time.

Wait. Is that your definition of running over someone?

Anytime you don't fall backwards, you're running someone over?

Coincidentally, MJD has been it in the backfield 95% of the time.

Dragging a guy for 5 yards after contact is running over someone. Griffin was holding on for dear life by the end of that play.

Based on the eye test I can tell he'll go to another team and be a consistent 1,000 yard back again. There's absolutely nowhere to go for him behind this line.

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

Getting beat at home again. Allowing over 400 yards passing from a mediocre QB. We're worried about MJD? LO friggin L.

Quote:Its been proved many times you can find a good RB late in the draft, and I bet Caldwell feels he can pull that off. Get a good offensive line and its easier to find a good RB.

You really think so? I'm a bit sceptical about Caldwell's ability to scout and draft RB's just looking at the product fielded in ATL the last few years or so.

... and he's partially to blame for it.

Dragging? Griffin hits him at the 10, and MJD is falling down by the 7. Holding on for dear life? You're exaggerating.

Griffin made that tackle. If you use that play to justify your idea that he still routinely runs over people, then you have to use all the failed arm-tackles or any time a ballcarrier happens to gain a couple yards after contact.

Griffin squared up on MJD, lowered his shoulders and got thrown back with ease. He may have made the tackle but MJD won that battle hands down.

And MJD isn't to blame for D-line men running past our O-line men like they aren't even there.

Thrown back? He stuck to him, and he made the tackle. Running over someone implies that you negated their efforts.

This argument falls on both of them. You're not willing to take of those fanboy glasses and pin a lot of blame on MJD.

Let me be careful what I say... 95% of the time... MJD doesn't wait for holes to develop (whenever they do). He can't outrun the defender. Despite the one or two examples you're able to provide, he doesn't do all of the things he's expected to do. He's fat and slow, too.

I don't know if its because he's injured or finished. The OL is horrible, but that doesn't excuse MJD's faults either.

Maybe MJD should stand and watch his last 6 games as a Jaguar. It is time for the youngsters to get the reps. It is sad to see his great career end on such a weak note...but time to let the young guys play!

I agree with this......it certainly can't hurt to see what Todman can do for us at this point.

Maurice is still a fine ball carrier. These college coaches like Fisch never last in the NFL because they don't know how to run the football.

Fire Fisch and keep Maurice.
