Teddy Countdown

Quote:With Blackmon's questionable status, will we be drafting any Louisville receivers in the middle rds?
I think so. That's a trend that I like; drafting one of your franchise QB's receivers. It not only brings a familiar face to the team with him, it also brings a comfortable target for said QB right off the bat.

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

Just watched the uconn tape of Teddy. There were about 8-10 drops that game by the receivers but man is he good. Moves in the pocket well, scans the field, pump fakes, accuracy, running for first downs, arm strength. He manipulates defenses the way he looks people off. He only had 1 TD and 1 pick but if he receivers had caught the ball he could have thrown at least 3 TDs.

Teddy is going to be the awesome QB we have always been praying for.

Yep that was his best game of the year IMO. Not as flashy as others perhaps but very efficient and he displayed a wide array of his talents.

Instead of watching the tape against one of the worst teams in college football, why not look at the tape from this past saturday against houston.  Vintage Bridgewater this saturday, average.

Manziel 2014!

Quote:Parker will likely be a steal for whatever team picks him just because of his skillset and high ceiling. I wouldn't mind him in the 3rd or 4th depending on who's left on the board at the top of the 3rd for other positions we need.

I actually think Parker ends up getting drafting at the bottom of the second round, as he should.  He has a chance to be a very capable wide receiver at the next level.  Wonderful jump-ball guy in the endzone.

Could you provide a breakdown for anybody who didn't get to watch?

Very solid overall game. He was victimized by A LOT of drops, but he threw maybe 2 or 3 bad passes in 30 attempts. His pocket presence and movement is really outstanding and his throws have really tightened up as the season has progressed, proving that he has the zip to handle cold weather games, yet at the same time he can put touch on the throws that he needs to.

This is simply beautiful quarterbacking. Even as someone who admittedly slants towards guys who can run a pro-style offense under center at the college level and go through four reads on any given down, I think it's safe to say that no QB other than Andrew Luck in the last 15 years has looked more NFL-ready at Teddy's age.

Can someone do a write up of the Louisville vs Houston game?

what do you mean my vintage? he's 70% almost 10 yards YPA 8:1 TD to INT ratio on the season, QBR is outstanding at 85

did you watch the game or just look at the stats to determine that he was average on Saturday?

don't think it's on youtube yet, the NFL draftbreakdown website will probably have it up in the next week or so

He and Luck are the most pro ready qbs in the last decade.  I also think he will have a better career than Luck due to having actually receiving options to throw to.

Look out Jag fans

one of my concerns is teddys frame and the state of our oline. if and when he comes to jags i hope our oline is in a much better shape because it seems LT is the only lock to be good to great (hopefully).  luck has a good TE combo + ty hilton is better than our receiving core atm. not confident in blackmon overcoming his troubles. i dont think he will have a better career than luck even if he comes to the jags, but i will hope he does.

He'll put on size, the jags will make sure of that. blackmon will be back, with shorts iii, ace sanders, mike thomas. This tandem is better than what the colts have. If Luck was on the jags we would be a sb contending team.

Lineman will be brought in during the off season

Our RT has been great and the overall O-Line has been improving a lot this season.

This was not the case.  This game was an example where the coaching did almost everything to put him in a bad position.  Even you have to admit that if you watched it.  Too many screen plays called, and way too many times with going off play action after two runs get stopped for nothing.  He didn't have his best game, but he didn't have his worst game either.  It seemed like the coaches picked pretty much the worst possible gameplan for him.

He had an obscene amount of 3rd and 10+s due to stupid fouls by the o-line.

Yea that was pretty dumb. We are 2-4 years from that. I mean, possibly contending for the playoffs due to the AFC South sucking though.
