Time will tell but you can sit here all day and tell me this team has talent I don't see it anywhere it's void of talent at all levels.

Caldwell will get his next coach my bet is nothing will change.
Let's do this. I'll try to look at it from a talent only point of view and list the players from each position I believe are good. Players in italics are maybe's.

Talent:

QB:  Bortles

WR: ARob, Hurns, Walters, Lee

TE:  Thomas

O-Line: Parnell, Linder

RB: Yeldon , DRob

D-Line: Marks, Miller, Odrick, Fowler

LB: Poz, Telvin, Skuta

DB: House, Colvin, Brown, Sample

These are good, talented football players. He's found a good QB who can pass and run and gotten him weapons. Caldwell is light years ahead of Gene Smith.

That's right. We won the "first pick in the draft bowl"!  Bucs get sloppy seconds.  Too bad Fournette can't come out.

Hahaha Houston is good?

They're trash.

Quote:With the Bucs winning, they're guaranteed to stay in mediocrity with Lovie Smith, and with a Jags loss we're one step closer to firing Gus and hiring a coach like Sean Payton, and securing ourselves a high draft pick for next season. The teams both lost today, Bucs fans lost today, but Jags fans win!!

I love this Payton talk.  You do understand that he's probably not leaving New Orleans, right?  It's okay to let your fantasy go and accept reality.  If and when Gus is fired, the next head coach will not be Sean Payton.

After Bradley is [BLEEP] canned what type of defense do you think our current personnel is suited for?

3-4 or 4-3?

My guess would be 4-3, but then we have a lot of tweeners that may not have a place. Are our leos big enough to play traditional end? Are our big ends too heavy?

Looking ahead this scheme may end up giving us flexibility in finding a new coach, because there are individuals who will work with either traditional scheme.

Quote:We've got playmakers on offense: Bortles, A-Rob, Hurns and Thomas. Caldwell gets the credit for that.  We need playmakers on defense.

You mean the defense he gutted and has spent two years building, it's completely void of playmakers?

Thomas is playmaker? For us since when?

I'm tire of hearing A-Rob  and Hurns are playmakers, they're both average wideouts we don't have an X factor WR after 3 years and drafting how many WR!?

So saying he wants a coach LIKE Payton is the same as saying he thinks Payton will be fired and then hired as our coach?

Maybe he just wants an established coach and not the joke we have now.

LOL, you know they are favored and more than likely will beat us next Sunday...  We just don't have the coaching staff to keep up with them...  Bill O'Brian, the terrible HC that TMD fell in love with, is a better HC than our loser...  That's a sad state of affairs.

You do realize that they are both on pace for 1,000 yard seasons, no?

Average wideouts? They're both top 20 WRs right now. YPC, yards total, whatever you wanna look at they're legit.

I'm sorry but you're being crazy, you can talk trash about Gus and the D-line sucking but calling the 2 Allen's average is insane.

That's the watermark we're going with? What's the excuse when we crap the bed next week to Houston?

The play that stands out to me, we called a safety blitz on a Tampa run, Cyp is in perfect position times it perfect but then over runs Martin who then goes on unmolested into the secondary for a huge gain.

The call was right, the package was right, the execution was even there, the freaking TALENT wasn't! That's the problem, the players on the field can't tackle they can't find the ball carrier.

That's just so funny. Now people are claiming losing to Hasselbeck isn't that bad because they beat a garbage Houston team.

IF??????  If he get's fired?

Just when.  When he get's fired.  He's not saving his job...  It's WHEN he get's fired.  He's dead man walking.  He's FIRED.  It's only a matter of IF it's tomorrow or IF it's at the end of the season.

There's no uncertainty to his termination.  HE IS GETTING FIRED.

IF.....  C'mon man...  He's done...

With Fowler we can play 3-4 or 4-3 which is the main reason why we drafted him..not a sack artist but crazy versitility. However...if we pair him with say Marks and Robert Nkemdichie and Odrick next year, I think our D could be good. Honestly.. after the 1st round next year I hope we target nothing but offensive guards and linebackers.

Poz was a Gene Smith aquisition, disagree about Lee he's made of glass. Blackmon is better then any WR Caldwell has brought in so if we're just going of talent Caldwell loses in the WR department.

I know we all want to believe Thomas is going to be the legit threat pass catching TE here he was in Denver but until we see it you can't count it as a plus mark for Caldwell.

Shack Harris had a better Oline by all measures than Caldwell, hell I'd take Monroe over Joeckel all day wouldn't you?

This is the worse D-line group we've had in I don't remember how long, they don't stop the run, they don't generate pass rush, they don't tackle at the point of contact.

The secondary sucks.
