Time to get rid of the dead weight players

#81

Quote:Lewis is getting worse. Before the season I had given thought of re-signing him to a cheap, more in-line contract when the season ended. Now, he probably should be cut as he has added nothing.

Alualu has been up and down, but very down today. He is still cheap depth. I'd keep him around unless he starts stringing together games like today.

Grant has been a solid return man. Cutting a good rookie kick returner because of one fumble when he was hit instantly in the backfield on a pitch is absurd.

I would lean towards keeping Myers for now. He has to know that he can't continue to hurt the team by missing crucial kicks and kicking the ball out of bounds. Tight leash with Scobee being available.

We don't have the depth to cut Beadles, but we can in the offseason and incur no dead money. The same goes for Toby Gerhart and Chris Clemons.

Bernard Pierce has been ok, but that play today was just a mind bender. We can find free agent running backs that can do what he does. Cutting him doesn't necessarily help us right now.

Armbrister needs to go to the practice squad. Plain and simple.

Branch is expendable at this point. He would have to put up a dozen sacks by the end of the season for us to re-sign him... Not likely.
Sounds fair and reasonable.

FBT in thy minds

Certainly helped me regain respect for him

When he doesn't say a word

Yet you reference him...

Boss!

Please cut the Pinto and Allan Branch. Neither of these guys can make a play to save their lives. The Pinto has already stolen way too much money from this organization.
Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.

Lol I dont know what I am talking about, yet you are the one who cant read.

***SPOILER ALERT*** Here, ill help you out with this reading thing. Tyson Alualu is listed as second string. Like I said, the only reason he's playing so much is due to injury on the line. But hey, I guess the Jacksonville Jaguar Official Website doesn't know what they are talking about either.

Quote:I agree, Lewis would be a good start. The organization has to do something to show the paying customer that this isn't some [BAD WORD REMOVED] organization that is a money monger like Donald Sterling LA clippers. If you aren't going to make a coaching change, cut a player or two and show that there is accountability.
Hate to say it, as of right now, it looks suspiciously similar to the LA clippers. We the Jag fans are the ones getting clipped.

What is sad is that when we cut all these players they will likely go on to become starters or all-stars for other teams.

We said the same about Reggie Nelson.

Of course - Khan is no fool.  The value of the Jags has gone way up since he bought them, so why should he invest in a quality coaching staff when the sheeples will continue to fork out their hard-earned money to watch this mess?  Until the fans make their voices heard, there is no incentive for Khan to take action.  He just keeps on raking in the dough.

Nelson was a 26 year old former first round pick who actually had a pretty good rookie year. A few of the guys mentioned above are in their 30's. And Bernard Pierce? An all star?

Yes they can. Their new angle is forcing you to name someone you would bring in when you say " we need to cut <insert player here>".

They are running on fumes for sure.

After a solid 10 yard outing vs the Pats, it looks like Toby has come back to reality with -2 yards vs the Colts and +2 yards vs the Bucs.

Worse yet, Boselli blasted this dude for whiffing a block that resulted in Bortle's int in the 2nd quarter.  Gerhert missed a clear opportunity to pick up the Bucs DB who came on a blitz.  Boselli commented that there was absolutely no reason why the 230 pound RB could allow a 190 pound DB to go right past him.

Toby's negative impact goes way beyond the lack of rushing yards.

I criticized this free agent acquisition 2 years ago --- it's time to get rid of this dude.  Cut out losses ...... let's make room on the roster for someone with heart.

But I thought Boselli was a sunshine pumper who never criticized the team?

Which mean's he's still deemed better than 3 other players who play the same position in this team...4 if you include practice squad. So yeah, go hit the streets and find me a player that can leap frog every single one of those guys.

Marcedes, gerhart, alualu and beadles are all garbage and should be gone.

Every throw to marcedes this season has resulted in a bad play. He showed zero effort on the int yesterday and just watched the LB scoop it.

Once Thomas reaches full health drop marcedes and sign some other blocking TE.

Once marks comes back drop alualu and let bennett backup.

Once drob returns drop gerhart and let drob, pierce and yeldon carry the rock.

For beadles there is no immediate fix so we gotta deal with it.
