New Head Coach

Wonder if they will get someone who is strictly a 43 guy or if they are open to a 34? I feel like Dante Fowler would be a beast in a 34.
If Indy or NO are dumb enough to fire their guys then we should be all over them. My widener would consist of: Pagano Payton McDaniels H.Jackson Mora Jr. Roman Goodwin Quote:He is going to coach High School football I thought? Perfect fit? #igetjokes

Quote:Wonder if they will get someone who is strictly a 43 guy or if they are open to a 34? I feel like Dante Fowler would be a beast in a 34.I would add Marrone and Mike Smith to that list and remove McDaniels, Mora, jr and Roman. Marrone has proven he can win with a long time loser, and he did it without a QB prospect of Bortles' caliber. Naming him HC would help ensure continuity for Bortles. Mike Smith could function with our current defensive personnel, and could conceivably defer to an Olsen to ensure continuity for Bortles. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
Quote:Pat Patricia is appealing to meYou'd think the NFL would have learned by now from Charlie Weis, Romeo Crennel, Josh McDaniels, Eric Mangini and Bill O'Brien that Belichick coaches are worth their weight in poo. In Weis' case, he wasn't even worth that. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote: I'm curious as to why you'd say this? I wouldn't want Mike Smith because I figured he'd want to run a cover2 defense.
I've mentioned this before. I'll relist the guys I'd like to see here.
1A. Bill Cowher 1B. Tony Dungy I know those two are highly unlikely to come out of retirement to coach this team but it would be nice if Khan could entice them enough. Realistically. 1. Hue Jackson - OC - CIN 2. Sean Payton - HC/OC - NO 3. Greg Roman - OC - BUF 4. Mike Smith - Former DC here / Former HC ATL That would be list in that order. I like what Hue is doing for the Bengals on offense. He's seemed to help Dalton along the way this year since Gruden left for WAS the last two years. He was 8 - 8 on a terrible OAK team for one season. I think Payton is all but done in NOLA after this year. I'd like to see him coach this team. I think he'd do more with this team than Bradley was capable of doing. And Bortles wouldn't take a step back if anything under his leadership and guidance. We'd just have to hope he can secure a defensive minded coach to balance out his team for him. I like what Roman did in SF. He's been trying to make the most out of BUF's offense this year with a limited experienced QB and now he has a back-up to work with Taylor out this week. I liked what Smith did in ATL. I think he kind of got a raw deal in the end. Last few years they were dealt badly with injuries. Now that they're healthy I think Quinn is getting the benefit of what Mike helped establish there for the Falcons. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I can't believe so many people on here are voting up Josh McDaniels though. That's hilarious. I wouldn't take ANY coach or coordinator under Bill Belicheck. History has shown us over the last fifteen years that none of them are truly worth their salt as head coaches once they leave New England. Charlie Weiss, Romeo Crennel and Eric Mangini were monumental flops as head coaches in the NFL. And McDaniels brief stint and dismantlement of the Broncos was one to remember. No thanks.

If the continual reports of Indy firing Chuck Pagano are true then we should be all over him. He has consistently got Indy to a 11-5 record and has owned our division. Not to mention it would help us when we play Indy.

People keep throwing out a lot of bad names.
Todd Haley. Wade Phillips. Josh McDaniels. These are names you recognize, but that doesn't make them decent. Ideally we'd get an up and coming coach or someone with experience that was successful.
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.
Quote:People keep throwing out a lot of bad names. Todd Haley had a bizarre ending to his tenure but he did take the Chiefs from 4-12 to winning the AFC West with Cassel as his starting QB. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Kyle Shanahan, OC for the Falcons please. agreed, he would be a good HC. Quote:agreed, he would be a good HC.He's doing a great job at the Falcons but this is really his first job where he's ran a successful offense by himself. I'd give him a few more years before even considering him for a HC job.
Do they still have The Madden Championship that they play on like ESPN2?
If so, gimmie the guy who wins.. |
