cam would be scary good if he can fix his accuracy, he completely missed 3 wide open receivers last night.  both teams defense is superbowl caliber and the running game is top notch, they both just need solid qb play to make some noise, i give the nod to carolina due to newton still improving while alex smith has pretty much reached his ceiling, game manager extraordinaire.

Cam Newton is proof it is important to have a mobile quarterback. Peyton Manning is great, but how can you not love a 14-yard run on fourth down? That is what I am talking about when I say we need a mobile quarterback - somebody who can run for a first down when he needs to against any defense.

 

Kansas City is definitely overrated. People think just because the Chiefs won every game until they went to Denver, they must be better than Denver. Baloney. The AFC West plays against the AFCS - clearly the worst division this year - and the NFC East, which looked almost as bad the first six weeks. So you can chalk it up to an easy schedule. Now I know the Broncos have the same opponents in 2013, but their at-large opponents are the Patriots and Ravens while the Chiefs got the Browns and Bills. So two Broncos wins (if they win Sunday) are more impressive than two Chiefs wins. Also, with the players each team has, it is a no-brainer who has a more talented roster. And I can't forget how hard it was for the Chiefs to win at Buffalo.

 

Carolina is surprising me this year. Ron Rivera was on the hot seat last year, so I expected another bad season for the Panthers. How can a coach go from the hot seat to the playoffs without getting a new job?
