Marcus Mariota

I think the TItans, Jaguars, and Colts all have a good QB that they can build up around but the Texans have possible potential in Ryan Mallett but they probably should draft one this year.

Quote:Mariota, Bortles, Luck, potentially three great QBs that will play against each other for more than a decade elevating the play of their respective teams and creating even greater rivalry games.

The future's so bright, you gotta wear shades!
Blake and Luck is gonna is gonna be incredible once Blake matures a little and the colts take some pressure off Luck. Mariota will be lucky to be Alex Smith.

I really wanted to see what kind of potential Mallet had in last Thursday Night's game against the clots, but unfortunately he took a shot and had to leave the field for a couple of plays and then never could get back onto the field because of Hoyer.

Well, the Jags still have both games against the Texans so hopefully he will get into one or both of them and I can see what potential Mallet might have.

I'm just curious since I hear so much about him, but hardly ever see him play.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

From what ive seen in Mallett, he has the size and arm, he just doesn't have the touch or poise.  He will rocket launch the ball with the same velocity on a screen pass as to the RB he does on a 7 yard slant.

I liked Mallett coming out of college but after seeing the previous couple of games with him, I think he won't cut it as a starter in the NFL.

His head is not in the game and I think there is something, mentally, wrong with him.

That last sentence is simple foolish. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he will be the best QB of all time but the next Alex Smith? DM me and let me know what exactly it is that you are on.

They are clones of each other, except Alex smith has a stronger arm.

This is Jaguars biased. I'm a Jags fan but come on.

Agreed, Alex Smith appears to be more accurate on medium range throws. Marriotas is more willing to take risks and turns the ball over much more frequently.

Lol Stop it, ya'll are taking it too far.  Mariota will be decent but he has a bit more upside than Alex Smith.

I don't know if im statistically correct; but i think Smith took some time to get to an ideal game manager, while Mariota could hit that level pretty soon.

Don't you have to like, not turn the ball over, to be a game manager?

Marriottas takes alot of shots down field. Also, it seems to me that Smith is more accurate that Marcus. But I don't watch many games where Alex Smith is the qb...

I'll be sitting at the 45 yard line watching Marcus pick Miami apart.

Mariota is going to be good. Bortles is going to be good. Luck is going to be good. Exciting stuff in the future of the division.

The Texans shouldn't ever get a quarterback, though.

So you had a birds eye view of your newest bust?  How'd it look?

LOL.  I saw that one pass to Pagano out in the flat.  Man, Mariottas throws a weak ball...  He definately has a lower than average arm...

I think I'll refrain from declaring boom or bust until at least the second year.

As you should too. Many in Nashville declared him the next Manning/Brady after the first game. How's that treating them now?
