Week 8 Games Of Interest
|
Thursday, October 22nd
#20 Cal at UCLA - 9:00 UCLA has hit a rough patch the last two weeks and look to get back on track but Cal brings in a tough team, coming off of a tough loss against Utah last week by 6. Looking to see if Cal can right the ship but it won't be easy at UCLA. Saturday, October 24th Kansas State at Texas - 12:00 Just curious to see if Texas stays on track after their bye and W against Oklahoma two weeks ago. They should against K-St., but you never know with how things are in Austin right now. #6 Clemson at Miami - 12:00 Clemson looks to stay undefeated and get into the conference title game/playoffs, so this is a must win. Miami has been up and down, but they've got the talent to play. Indiana at #7 Michigan State - 3:30 Curious to see if the huge last second win over a big time rival has a lingering affect on Mi. State. Indiana is not an easy out. They're 4-3, but have lost some close ones to some pretty good teams. This won't be easy on Mi. St who has been close in virtually all their games thus far. Tennessee at #8 Alabama - 3:30 Tennesse will test Alabama, but Bama will be a tough out for anyone at home. Texas Tech at #17 Oklahoma - 3:30 OU got it back together by demolishing K-St. following their loss to Texas. TT can score though, this has a chance to be vey offensive! #9 FSU at Georgia Tech - 7:00 Not the game everyone thought this could be coming into the season. GT has fallen dramatically. I don't see this the test that we all thought it could be for FSU. #15 Texas A&M at #24 Ole Miss - 7:00 Ole Miss is struggling and need a win bad. A&M needs this to have any shot at a chance to get to Atlanta.

Quote:#9 FSU at Georgia Tech - 4:30 I'm seeing a 7pm kickoff on ESPN site -- where did you get 4:30pm ? I'm hoping for 4:30 but I'd think that would be a night game. I take winning records in September with a grain of salt. The whole month most games are against teams outside the Power 5 conferences and some even get FCS opponents. Then when the conference games start easy games go first. At Ohio State, beating Virginia Tech (ACC), Hawaii, (MWC), Northern Illinois (MAC), Indiana, and Maryland. Notice before the game nobody picked Ohio State to struggle and barely win but everyone would have been shocked if OSU lost to an out of Power 5 conference team. Division records are determined by win/loss records within conference games and discount Michigan's loss at Utah because the Utes are in the the Pacific 12.
Quote:How pathetic is miami? I'm just laughing watching this game. That stadium will be completely empty by the 4th quarter. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???
Quote:Doesn't it usually start out that way? Not necessarily. There's usually 500-600 fans there at the start.
The Miami game is so pathetic that the announcers are talking about working out.

Thinking about how close our game was with miami and how easily clemson dismantled them... Yikes. Rivalry games are different. Quote:Rivalry games are different. Agreed, but clemson has looked pretty strong most of the year.
will this finally give fans what they want and get rid of al golden?
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."
Laremy Tunsil has neutralized Miles Garrett from the Olé Miss A&M game. Miles, in his defense, has made two impact plays. .but only when Tunsil has not blocked him

Haven't been watching the game, but I know Garrett is really really good. Nice to hear that about Tunsil, but highly doubt he's the Jags pick.
Shock the world
