If you don't know the name Paxton Lynch get familiar with it, he'll likely go 1st overall (if a QB needy team is selecting 1st). He's the best QB in the nation (also has the highest upside) and next years QB crop is pretty weak, that will certainly drive the value up for a guy like Lynch. The Jaguars should have the opportunity to trade back while receiving a nice haul of picks, CBS Sports is pegging Lynch as this years "Blake Bortles", "a passing prospect from a non power 5 conference that checks a lot of boxes for NFL evaluators". Seeing how this year is practically over, it's time to look forward to FA and the NFL draft, every year is groundhogs day for Jaguar fans!

If a QB needy team is in range, I think they'll make the move. When you have a chance to select a (potential) franchise QB with Lynch's upside you have to do it.

I don't always agree with rocdee, but when I do, it is probably about the Jaguars drafting Joey Bosa.

I believe Bosa is JJ Watt

I'm not saying to that level, but as far as being a guy you can move around all over the line and can impact the game from any position.

You are setting yourself up for disappoint if you think he will be Watt. I think he will be more like a bigger Jared Allen.

Jared Allen is a much better comparison than jj watt.

If bosa can keep up his play and get a little better pre snap, he could provide a real nice pass rush spark ala Jared allen but as we all know, pass rushers are hard to find.

Edit: also for the record I believe uf the jaguars have the number 1 lick and bosa is in that high demand, a trade down would be better for the team. S, WR, OL help is all still vital and Fowler will be back.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."
