NFL.com article: "Jacksonville Jaguars showing promising growth despite 1-5 start."

Quote:I love the people that say stuff like " blah blah blah get your pitchforks".

Do you know how long you've been saying things like that?

Good thing you're not a Jets/ Eagle/ Packers fan.

Are their fans wanting to be like Jets/Eagles? Is that something to aspire to?

Those you mentioned above have been saying that this year. Sentiment was not like that the last two years. Quite the opposite. So they've been saying it for what, 5 weeks?

Quote:You contradicted yourself above. Said garbage in and garbage out and same as it's been the past 6 years. Then say we have talent to win. We haven't had talent over the last 6 years nor a potential franchise QB. Also, what are fans oblivious to, the ones you speak of?
Garbage in, Garbage out "front office" wise. Lackluster coaching staffs is all we've had since Jack's last few years here. And we have talent to win NOW. As in, this year. And the fans I speak of are the ones who just blindly accept how poorly ran and managed this team is from a football / product on the field perspective. I could careless about the "fan expereince" at the stadium that Khan has opened up his wallet for. I don't care about the swimming pools or the giant videoboards or the cabana's etc. It's just gold that glitters. Eye candy. It could be over 100 degrees for all I care. I just want to see a winner again here in Jacksonville man. Normally over the years I've been very optimistic and positive and support and back the ownership. But I just can't do it anymore man.

Go to a Jets/Eagles board after with an 8-31 head coach and see how well saying "grab your pitch forks " flies over. You'd be laughed out of the city. Only the Jaguars could have fans dumb enough to trust in that "process".

The last two years were written off for this HC/FO, which makes it even worse. Go back to when Gene Smith was GM, they've been saying crap like that for years.

On your first point, okay... You just didn't say that so moving on.

On the second point.  Who is blindly accepting how poorly ran and managed this team is (I have to assume again you mean coaching)?  Are you able to fire the coach?  Is there something you are doing that is some how effecting the decision Khan/Caldwell will make now or in the near future?  I think some fans recognize that huffing and puffing isn't blowing down Khan.  No matter what, Khan is going to be the winner in all of this.  I'm not happy about the record or the coaching.  I can put my fingers in my ears and yell about it.  Might annoy the people around me, but nope, Gus will still be coach.  Even after 5 weeks of repetitive content on this board, last I check, yep, he is still coach.  No one is blind to the record or the non winning ways of the Jaguars.  People just have different perspectives.

Third point in regards to pools, video boards, cabana's, etc...  I think the biggest thing you missed in that is there are many people who do care.  And it is having zero impact on whether we are building a winner here.  Why do people constantly bring that up when the play on the field has nothing to do with the score boards, pools, etc...?  You don't care.  Great.  Well that is YOU.  YOU do realize there are people who go the games for all sorts of reasons.  One thing ALL Jaguar fans do want is a winner.

Again, I'm not trying to be a Jets/Eagles fan.  If that is what you aspire to be than by all means.  Go for it.  You know how many Super Bowl wins they have between them?  1.  Amazing, all of that "let's run this coach out of here" and "pitch fork" mentality has won them 1 Super Bowl between 2 franchises over a combined 98 years.  So again, is that what we are aspiring to be?  1 Super Bowl in the next 78 years.  Try again.

Lol do you know how many 8-31 coaches they've had? We havent had a WINNING SEASON in 8 years, You know who the people were that defended all of those clowns? The same people saying stupid "pitchfork" lines.

Im not really sure where you're getting me wanting anyone to be a Jets/Eagles fan... so Im not even sure what you're getting at. Read again.

So why are you bringing up Jets/Eagles fans?  If you aren't comparing them to us nor want to be like them, what is the point?  So you are basically saying all the grumbling, hot air, booing, yelling, demanding basically has zero impact on what actually happens on the field.  You are propping up these fan bases, yet again, they have 1 Super Bowl win in 98 years.  You state they won't accept failure, but it took 98 seasons for one of those fan bases to win 1 Super Bowl.  For all the demands Eagle fans have made it has resulted in 0 Super Bowls.  Maybe I missed it, what was your point again about Jets/Eagle fans?

Also, in 8 years we have had 3 (technically 4) head coaches, 3 GM's and 2 owners.  You are acting like Gus has been here for 8 years or we have had the same GM during that entire span.  Hell, we haven't even had the same owner.

So what exactly are you saying jt$?

Are you saying we should keep our current head coach?

It sounds like you do not want him to be fired. Or do you just want to wait till the end of the season to fire him?

Here ill break this down for you.

"I love the people that say stuff like " blah blah blah get your pitchforks".

"Good thing you're not a Jets/ Eagle/ Packers fan."

"Go to a Jets/Eagles board after with an 8-31 head coach and see how well saying "grab your pitch forks " flies over. You'd be laughed out of the city."

"Only the Jaguars could have fans dumb enough to trust in that "process"."

Im really not sure where you are getting " Oh I want our FO to be like the Jet/Eagles" (pretty funny you left out GB btw). The Jets/ Eagles were an example of how any other team wouldn't tolerate a coach that 8-31. I was saying that instead of the Jaguars, any other fan base would laugh you out of the city if you were defending a team that's 8-31 over the last 3 years.

Sorry, I didnt really think I had to name all other 31 teams in the NFL to help you get the point.

So, we're supposed to use the Jets and Eagles fans as the benchmark for how we should react to things?  Wow.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Apparently, only the Jaguars have fans dumb enough to think whining like spoiled little school girls on an internet message board is going to impact what the team does.

Keep on whining!

Lol this clown. Even if that was my point, it would be alot better of an idea than following what you believe.

See above post.

Logic is wasted on this one.  Hopefully you'll figure that out soon enough.

Keep getting on your knees. You should invest in some kneepads.

If you aspire to be a moronic Jets/Eagles fan, go for it.  I'm sure there's room on their bandwagon.  You'll fit in perfectly.

Running out of clever things to say?  No worries.  I wasn't expecting anything better than this in response. Make sure to wear a bib so the slobber doesn't soil your Sanchez jersey.

I left out Green Bay because their coaching history isn't a turnstile. Those fans aren't known to run coaches out of town. It was a poor example on your part.

Your point was we would be laughed out of the Jet/Eagles city. Okay. So what? All their anger and rage hasn't led to championships. Who cares if they point and laugh? Are you that worried about it? You need validation from another fan base?

We should have won the last 3 games.

That's the coaches fault.  Based on the past as well as the present, it's clear Gus is not the right guy for the job.

It's amazing that it took this long for 90% of the Jungle to realize this...  But it's clear that the vast majority have come to the reality that Gus Bradley is a terrible coach an is not long for this position.  It will be a relief when he's officially gone.

As for my opinion, the sooner he's gone, the better for the team.  We need to get his loser mentality wiped clean from this team.

Not a bad read at all and I totally get it and agree, however the one thing that pops into my head is "this team is built" which we knew it wasnt considering the D needed help. Which has now put egg all over our face with how horrible the D has played.
