Mistakes in Fantasy this year
|
Let's hear any regrets or bad decisions you've made in fantasy this year
I'll start with 1. I dropped Martin right before he took off 2. Picking up Travis Benjamin(who has been good) over Devonte Freeman 3. Drafting CJ Anderson We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
1) Got the times wrong for the draft and ended up autopicking
2) Started Leveon Bell and no defense for the first week. 3)Played Brees over Dalton for a few weeks.
Picked top three in all of my leagues. I went heavy on Leveon Bell. My last league to draft for, I second guessed myself not wanting to put all of my eggs in one basket so I passed on Bell with the 5th pick...and opted for the Lacy. I didn't really like Lacy, but wanting to diversify and him being the top back left, I went with him against my instincts.
Drafted Coleman, and was happy when he got the bulk of the carries his first game. But when he got hurt, made the mistake of not picking up Devonte Freeman.
Drafted Jordan Matthews.
Benched Brady for Rivers for the Bills game. Started Jags defense against Houston
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
1. Drafted J. Graham in the fourth round... I could have had TJ Yeldon!
2. Drafted D. Thomas over J. Jones... Though Thomas is doing well, not Jones well 3. Drafted the Bills D/ST in the 11th round... Every year I tell myself to wait until round 15 and 16 for my D/ST and K and every year I ignore it during the draft... I'm still 5-2, though for one very important reason: Drafted Devonta Freeman in the 8th round.

I'll start with way too many beers beforehand. Do I need to delve any further?
Your beliefs become your thoughts,
Your thoughts become your words, Your words become your actions, Your actions become your habits, Your habits become your values, Your values become your destiny.
Traded away Philip Rivers.

Sam Badford.
Chip Kelly can make any QB look good. It's going to be one of the highest scoring offenses in the league! Reached for Vinatieri and Bills DST. Colts are going to have an explosive offense. Luck with a plethora of receiving weapons, Frank Gore, and in a dome. Guys, it's going to be the Pats or the Colts representing the AFC in the Super Bowl. Bills were a top 5 defense now led by the defensive mastermind Rex Ryan. I feel I'm also starting the wrong player with the difference between winning and losing being who I bench, meanwhile my opponents' bench score zero points so no regrets for them. Cowboys are going to take the reigns off Christine Michael, two points! We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Outside of Gostkowski, I'm never reaching for a kicker/DST in future seasons.

Don't forget Eddy Lacy always comes big towards the end of years, he's been disappointing this year so far but he's where he was last year
1. Went WR early in both my drafts and now I'm stuck with the worst RBs, except for Ingram and Yeldon.
2. Drafted Russell Wilson in both drafts, which was a mistake. He's a good real life QB, but a horrible fantasy QB.
This isn't my mistake, but I see some in my league carry extra defense's or kickers on their bench. There is also one player that has 3 QB's on his roster, and none of them are really all that good.

Peyton Manning.
I knew his stats would dip a little but not to this extent. My instinct was not to go for him, but I caved thinking he would be good value in early mid round. FAIL

Jordan Mathews and CJ Anderson.
But picking up Devonta Freeman and Gurley erased the pain very quickly. Quote:Jordan Mathews and CJ Anderson. Jealous Quote:Outside of Gostkowski, I'm never reaching for a kicker/DST in future seasons.Fantasy football 101. Thats a pretty common rule. |
