Telvin Smith - AFC Defensive player of the week

#21

I forget who he jumped the route on but they tried to chase him down and he was actually pulling away from him.

Quote:I remember being crazy excited when I found out we got Telvin Smith. Hate the Seminoles, but man I just had a feeling he was going to be good. Lets hope he just gets better and better!

What made us all get excited about him was turnovers. He forced or recovered two fumbles in the same game. That was the first time Telvin was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week and when we all thought he should start on defense.

Who cares what college a player goes to? I hate Miami but love Allen Hurns. If a player is good enough, where he went to school is irrelevant.

The first time Telvin got that award was how he earned a starting job on defense. I had never heard of a backup player getting it before.

Well done. Needs to work on his pass coverage this next offseason, because dude may be the reason we lost to the Colts. That was ugly.

How on Earth can you say that? Telvin Smith was obviously not the reason we lost there. People love to make up negative crap on this board.

I literally never take anything rocdee says seriously.

Rocdee could win a million and would probably say "eh, its not 2 million and I have to wait 7 days for it. Not impressed".

It's no secret Telvin had been struggling in pass coverage this year up until that game. Consistency comes with repetitions, I'm not worried about it at all.

Having said that, 9 tackles, a pick six and 3 pass deflects is a monster game for a LB.

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

Is this his second career afc defensive player of the week or the second of this season?

Quote:Getting some love on NFL AM as well, by lavarr Arrington of all people.

Congrats Telvin!

Lavarr doesn't fluff talk... he's a beast that put Michael Vick out not once but twice.. and as a talk show host he speaks it real.. so if he is giving praise to Telvin its coming from the heart & mind

Can you imagine if he had started as a rookie game 1 & if Poz hadn't of been injured last year.. I still dont think Skuta has done what they had hoped as the Strong OLB /OTTO role but hopefully him & the DLine & CBs / Safeties will start to play better & this team will win more games..

Defense wins games, worst case you would tie every week if the Defense could simply shut out teams...

provided your QB doesnt keep throwing pick 6s that is..

Quote:Bortles getting recognition, Robinson and Hurns receiving plaudits, Telvin getting noticed...bizarre but it's almost as if we are moving in the right direction.
Uh oh you better be careful. You're sounding optimistic.
