I will argue to the ends of the Earth if I have to that if the Buckeyes were eligible last year, they would have played in the NCG because Alabama had one loss. Undefeated > 1 loss any day.

Why was Auburn rewarded ? Ranking at the time of a game doesn't mean anything. It has zero to do with SOS.

That would have been close.   The SEC has won 6 straight BCS titles in a row so they get the respect but I do believe OSU would have been there.  Also, the Big10, unlike this year, appeared to have been halfway decent last year

Yes, that and the fact that OSU played a lot of close games last year including a 5 point win over Michigan whereas Bama blew out Michigan 41-14 and also beat LSU & Georgia

 

I agree -- a playoff is much needed.  Unfortunately, we stuck with a 4 team playoff through 2025 -- it's a 10 year contract.  Team #5 will be complaining over the next 10 years.

Why don't they have more than four teams in the playoff right away? We should not have to wait 10 years for that.
