Do we expect Fowler to come back 100% from his injury?

Leonard Williams was overrated

<p style="text-align:center;">But that same man can get lost in the sauce."
Quote:Leonard Williams was overratedWell we agree on something. Just like Beasley Quote:Chris Clemons tore his ACL and had to sit out his rookie year. He turned out to be okay. Clemons last year as a Jag Quote:teams will have to gameplan for Fowler, that said we need another pass rusher opposite of himAgreed Who could the Jags get assuming Bosa is off the board? To answer the topic I believe he'll be back 100% no problem We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:AgreedHopefully we can get one in free agency but if we go a different route a lot of people are mocking Shaq Lawson to us. I want to see how he does next week against Fl St and some of the bigger games. Gonna keep more of an eye on him from here on out. However, he wasn't much of a factor against NC State. A little troubling, but one thing about him compared to Andre Branch and Vic Beasley, he's not a liability in the run game.
10 years ago we had Bob Hope, Johnny Cash, and Steve Jobs..... Please don't die, Kevin Bacon.
Quote:why was Fowler a reach, because you think he was? Fowler was a top 3 prospect by many. Mayock had him as the number 1 guy on his board. Fowler wasnt a reach Everyone had him going to us because of UF. Williams was the top defensive pick.

There is another, more practical reason this draft should be a defense heavy draft.
Our defense is, by NFL standards, old. At least half of the defensive starters were free agent signings. Clemons Marks Miller Poz Skuta Sergio Brown House Odrick This means they are all on their 2nd or 3rd contracts. Without a defensive infusion of youth and talent, the subpar level this defense is currently playing at will drop off in play in another year or two, even if Fowler returns and is an impact player. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
Quote:Fowler won't be back 100% from injury and frankly I don't believe that he'll make much of an impact in his first year back. We need more pass rushers. I just can't figure out why you would possibly think this. Not the part about needing more pass rusher because that's a given anyways, but there's every reason to think Fowler will return 100 percent and will have a tremendous impact.

However, we still don't know if he will actually have a positive impact here. Without his playing we couldn't know this, ACL injury or not. Let's hope he proves to be worth the pick and not a high level bust. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! You never really know if any pick will be any good at the NFL level. ![]() Quote:He was such a good prospect he got passed up by 5 different teams lol. Williams was a bit overrated as it showed on draft day You realize you destroy yourself with your own argument, since the Titans passed him up. Fowler hasn't yet proved he was worth the pick. He'll have to do that, and I'm skeptical. Even more than on draft day. To say he certainly will be are simply wishes, hopes, and prayers. If that's how you feel, that's fine. Just realize that's all it is. Wishing, hoping, and praying that it's true. Because until he proves it, it's not.

Quote:You never really know if any pick will be any good at the NFL level. It was pretty easy to do with Cooper, who could have, arguably should have, been the pick. Those are the kinds of guys you draft at that position. Not guys who are questionable tweeners even before injury.

BAP + Need. I think he'll become a great player for us. Obviously Cooper would have too. Maybe even better across from AR15 or sliding into the slot..... BUT... would we be any better? Can't say for sure. The D/pass rush is still our biggest issue. |
