Happens every year. NFL.com, ESPN, SI post lists of trades they would like to see or think could happen. We hear about players "on the trading block" or that could be traded. And then the deadline passes with almost no action.

It's more that the players are only floated for deadline deals for one of two reasons: they're washed up and out of the team's plans, or they've become more trouble than they're worth in the locker room. You'll never see: "Packers trade Aaron Rodgers to Washington!", printed the day of the trade deadline.

Winning these tough gritty games is a building step. No one should have expected this team to compete with the Pats.

Which was the only game we were really blown out in.

 

So they've been quite competitive, and they have won a couple, with a chance to get better.

If we win 4 more games, and they aren't ONLY AFCS teams... I don't see how you could honestly not like the direction of the team.

 

I agree though, if we can only beat bad AFCS teams, it'll be a problem.

As of now though... we have beaten a couple AFCE teams, that might not be the Pats but surely aren't the tacks or tinhorns.
