I'm fine with VH3 in the first, but there's absolutely no way I'm passing on Shaq Lawson in the 2nd. Guys a stud and will more than likely be a top 20 pick at the latest

I said I've only seen him a couple times and was asking if anyone who watched him more to lend their opinion.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."
Never will understand why some of you are clamoring for Hargreaves when corner finally isn't an issue for the first time in forever.

We still haven't got an interception in the secondary and VH3 is the definition of a playmaker. If the pass rushers are off the board then he seems to be the best available player and would give us another playmaker (which we desperatley need on defense).
They've had chances, just didn't convert them. Still doesn't mean that corner is an issue.
Quote:Cannot stand that guy +1. I don't know what it is, but he's incredibly annoying to me. He banged the drum so hard for Teddy B like the worst kind of fan boy you can imagine! High Score gives him hell on twitter, which just makes me laugh.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say! Quote:They all did. The draft twitter guys hang on to Bridgewater so hard.Yes. Then last draft it was Vic Beasley. It's as if someone has an idea and then they all decide that's the one we're going to obsess over. Quote:Yes. Then last draft it was Vic Beasley. It's as if someone has an idea and then they all decide that's the one we're going to obsess over. Don't get me wrong, I thought the world of Beasley. I would have had zero problems with the team making him the selection at #3 overall but I just got so tired of reading people just obsessing over the guy. It's like they lose their mind when it comes to evaluating prospects!

It's like they lose their mind when it comes to evaluating prospects!Agreed, I liked Beasley also and would of been ok if he was the pick but had Fowler the better prospect and player as probably 90% of the people and scouts did. He said Teddy was the 2nd best prospect he has ever seen behind Luck and then Beasley was one of the best pass rushers to ever come out. The guy overrates decent prospect like no other. Like yall say, he falls in love with an ok player where there are much better players in the same draft. Crazy, then you have some guys even on our message board that just believes what ever the guy says and thinks the guy is this great scout and believes what ever he says.. The guy is proven wrong with his top prospects almost every year.

The biggest thing that I think goes missed by a lot of these armchair talent evaluators is that the draft is, always has been, and most likely will continue to be about measureables. Teams want big, fast, athletic guys who can run fast, lift heavy things, and jump really high. It's that way because teams know that you increase your odds of getting a good football player if you start with a good athlete. It's why the media world was shocked when Bortles went early, but none of the football people were. It's why Dante Fowler, despite producing fewer sacks than Beasley, was rated higher almost universally. It also seems to be the impetus for coming up with all kinds of weird statistics and metrics that pump up a player with lesser physical attributes. They, the armchair scouts, watch and breakdown technique and hone in on little details and quirks but it seems like they miss the big picture that by and large you have to be an amazing athlete to survive on an NFL field, much less be productive out there. It's not a game for little guys with big hearts; it's a game for big guys with emotional issues.

I like the picks. Roy Miller could be replaced by Robinson at NT and we get a shut down corner. Perfect!
I like Bosa and DB in 2nd round. Quote:It's an odd bunch. I thought Twitter would make draft season better but it actually has made it insufferable. I joined twitter just before the 2014 draft. It can be insufferable, yes. But I find it entertaining and can be informative. I'm very peculiar about who I do/do not follow. I follow folks with opposite views from me on purpose, but when it gets too bad, you have to just unfollow. Life is too short for misery.
