Hurricane forgot to look for my thread. I started one called "Coaching carousel" that got no replies.
![]() At the time I started that one, there were eight coaching vacancies. Since then two more were added, most recently Hawaii. My only prediction now is at least one NFL coach will join the college ranks after losing his job.
Quote:Lane Kiffin for South Carolina HC That would be great for the media. A Kiffin vs Vols matchup would be great. I know there is one per se as he's the OC for Bama but that's not the same. Kiffin at the media days podium would add even more fuel to the fire We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Interesting you put Charlie Strong to Miami as I would put him there too. Of course, he would have to leave a pretty good job at Texas, but if I were him I would get out while the gettin's good
10 years ago we had Bob Hope, Johnny Cash, and Steve Jobs..... Please don't die, Kevin Bacon.

Supposedly Kirby Smart is interested in the VT job. I think that would be a good fit. VT is known for good d and I don't think Smart is a product of Bama. Now. .him leading an entire team as opposed to defense is another question but I could see Smart going there to get his feet wet and then once he gets a feel, I could see him coming back to Bama or LSU. I think Kiffin and Les Miles will only be there for about 5 more years. I just think Texas is eventually slide Kiffin a blank check. And I can also see Dan Mullen taking a higher profile job. He's done a fantastic job of making Miss State a great place.
"Expect for the best. Prepare for the worst. Capitalize on what comes."
Quote:And take a worse job and huge pay cut? Don't know if you've noticed, but he's doing pretty terrible at Texas.

Quote:Don't know if you've noticed, but he's doing pretty terrible at Texas. Really? I hadn't noticed. He also inherited a dumpster fire left by Mack Brown. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Don't forget Hawaii. I'm rooting for Naeole to hold that one. I read June Jones wants that job again. Who could blame him?
Quote:Definite Openings / PREDICTIONS Not sure it will happen but I think Hue Jackson would be a good fit at USC

Quote:Kiffin or Richt or Schiano will end up in Miami. Big names and proven recruiters. Schiano was good for one season. He and Rodriguez quickly proved after getting new jobs it is all about the players, not the coaches, that determine success. We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:And take a worse job and huge pay cut? Pay cut -- it all depends how bad the former Canes athletes want to provide Booster support. I'm thinking that people like Michael Irvin, Ray Lewis, Frank Gore, Reggie Wayne, Warren Sapp, etc ..... have a few $$ in the bank. Quote:Pay cut -- it all depends how bad the former Canes athletes want to provide Booster support. I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say! Quote:Not sure it will happen but I think Hue Jackson would be a good fit at USCI'm thinking Hue would be a great fit in Jacksonville... |
