Do any other Gators fans think, "Well, it was good that we did not get shut out . . ." because something is better than nothing? When we got the safety I thought, 'Great, it is not a shutout anymore."
It also felt good to see Kelvin Taylor miss only one play. While he was hobbling ff I expected a couple drive with Scarlett or Cronkrite before letting Taylor come back in.
Rather it happen now than to squeak by FSU and get destroyed by Alabama. Thought we had somewhat of a chance because of the defense but Alabama? Nah, no way. Not without Grier.
So weird looking back at UF and realizing how big missing their QB is. Haven't felt that since Tebow.

Quote:Would love for the Jags to draft Cook in 2017, but what about Yeldon? What about Elliott?

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
The gators will have negative points against bama.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."
Quote:I feel totally opposite about next year. We have some good wide receivers coming in and a pretty good qb coming in with will coming off suspension. There are a few good players coming back on defense too We HAVE good receivers and tight ends. If this was last year, then i wouldn't complain. Hey, you just don't have the kids. I get it. THIS YEAR... Calloway can ball, Demarcus Robinson can ball, Brandon Powell was developing into a quality slot guy, All three of our TE's can ball. We keep running empty formations with a QB that doesn't make quick reads and a LT that would be a practice squad guard at the next level. We run 95% out of shotgun so there is no real hard play action to free up the defense. We haven't been able to hit a hot route since the Ole miss game. The offense can't get into a rhythm because on every down we are trotting in another personnel grouping with another formation with triple motion that none of OUR PLAYERS understand. Line up under center hand the @#$^ ball off and play action off that. With a good TE and two receivers that can compete on the outside that could at least make you a competent offense. This is the same sad impotent crap week after week and it finally bit them. As to the 5-2 on UGLY WINS. I don't count FAU as a win. That was a game that was so indicative of how terrible this offense is that the committee started putting 2 loss teams ahead of the one loss SEC east winner. That's pathetic. When you look back over the season, we got destroyed on our home field by our #1 rival (Treon Harris should be embarrassed.) We were one throw away from losing to East Carolina & FAU respectively. We only scored 14 offensive points against kentucky and Mizzou. Somehow hardin made a 45 yard fg against Vanderbilt otherwise we would have lost our homecoming game. South carolina was asking some serious questions before taylor broke off a long run. We had to convert a half dozen 4th downs and make one of the most memorable plays i can remember to beat Tennessee. Add it all up and what you have is a team that got lucky more often than not and is REGRESSING! Next year, you won't have an nfl training camp roster on defense and we are probably looking at finishing the season on a 3 game loosing streak as we will be representing the SEC in the sugar bowl. Quote:You might get this one but we're on the upswing, I think next year we'll be running circles around FSU This made me laugh
Quote:That question does not include "by the offense." The Gators did score on defense.Actually the defense didn't score.. two points were awarded to the Gators because FSU covered up a ball in the end zone.
