Jags are up to pick #7 after Ravens win

Now that the playoffs dreams are all but dead, hopefully we don't slip further down the draft than this. 7 would be a good spot to be guaranteed one of Ramsey, VH3, Jack, or Smith.

He's good, but I have him below those other 4 I mentioned both in skill and team need. His skill set wouldn't add a whole lot to what we already have IMO...not nearly like those others would.

I'd still rather win games.

I wish all NFL fans were like this. Sure, it would be great to pick Vernon Hargreaves or a similar player, but if you like a team, you want that team to win.

This year I am going to see if it is possible to win games and still move up because of what other teams do. That might sound crazy, but the Ravens just helped us out.

The Ravens moved up because we lost and they won.  If we win, we don't move up since all of the other 4-7 teams (except for the Dolphins) pick behind us.  The fact that the Colts & Texans are winning doesn't help us since it strengthens our schedule and could adversely effect our position compared to teams that we tie in the standings.

So to decrease strength of schedule, we want most of our opponents to finish with a losing or even record (too late for the Panthers and Patriots, obviously).

I'm a fan, but I am still wary of him as a pro. Particularly at that high of a pick.

Isn't everyone calling Hargreaves a top 5 pick right now? If so, I can't imagine #7 being too high for him.

Hargreaves is vastly overrated on here imo. Jaylon Tabor is the real star in that secondary.

Give me the guy that is the most consistent at getting to the passer, please.

Easier said than done I know.

Basically give me the best defensive playmaker available.  This defense drastically needs a playmaker or three.

I'm torn between Smith and Jack. Smith has better size and looks like the better pass rusher. Jack looks better in coverage and would add some much needed speed to the front 7.

Hargreaves had some injuries this season that slowed him down. That gave Tabor more opportunities. This could be another case of  "Would you rather fix a position now or get the better guy later?"  because Tabor is not eligible for the NFL draft. However, we won't know until Hargreaves starts playing in the NFL if he was overrated.

i think he is one of the safest picks in the draft. Not really worried about it.

how has it slowed him down? He has still played at an elite level
