***Official Packers @ Lions Thursday Night Football Game Thread***

Hi, Jaguars fans!   Smile   Green Bay Packers visit Ford Field for the Detroit Lions first-ever appearance on Thursday Night Football.  Both the Packers and Lions still have the accustomed 7-day period between games, since both Detroit defeated the Philadelphia Eagles handily 45-17, while the Chicago Bears upset the Packers 16-13 in a rainy Lambeau Field.  Packers are 3-1 in THNF, while Detroit is 0-0 and are playing their first inaugural Thursday Night Football game, other than their traditional Thanksgiving Day Game.

Packers lead the all-time series 97-68-7. NO injuries, and GO LIONS!!!!!  Smile  B)   ^_^

Technically,  the Lions played a couple of Thursday Night games around the turn of the century.    These games were played before Thursday Night Football became a weekly or near weekly event.

In the game in late November, 2000,  Cris Carter caught his 1000th career reception.   I remember it like it was yesterday.   In the same game, CB Bryant Westbrook had his career derailed with a torn Achilles tenden on the dreaded Metrodome turf.

A few weeks earlier,  former Jag RB James Stewart had a 3 TD game in Tampa for the Lions in an Oct. 2000 Thursday Night game.

Would you rather see Detroit win than Green Bay?

Again, GO PACKERS! (I know D6 will hate me for that.)

I don't care who wins as long as Rodgers gets that stick out of his rear and throw me some tds! He's cost me a couple of close games already.

Detroit barely got the first one. Everyone makes a big deal about the fact Green Bay lost without reporting the final score. It was 18-16 IIRC. Yes, it was a bad game and the Packers should have scored more points, but it was not like they got blown out. Clearly it was not a sign the Lions are better on offense.

I can't wait to see the Packers do it.

NFL.com's poll question today is: "What would be more striking?

Packers miss the playoffs (53%)

Lions make the playoffs (47%)

I voted for Green Bay missing the playoffs.

Holy crap is anyone else's game jumping all over the screen? I can't tell if it's their cameras or my service.

Edit: I think it's my service. The channels were pulsing. Made me feel nauseus.

Why did he turn into a scrub in the middle of the season?

He's playing scared it seems. I can't put my finger on it but it brings back bad memories of gabbert trying to sack himself. He's in a funk and needs to snap out of it.

My team has at least been able to win despite him, but I lost my 2nd game last week, he's looking like a liability actually watching him in action.  I had Flacco who had decent numbers but he's done lol
