Quote:1. Cleveland 2-14 1. Strength of schedule 2. Coin flip at combine SOS is the combined winning percentage of all 16 opponents (division teams count twice). I have no idea how the NFL figures that out - maybe someone good at math knows. It is very likely the Browns and Titans will go 1-2.
Quote:because he drafted Luke, Lee, Gratz, Ace, Denard, Chris Smith, etc etc Quote:Four of those players were late round picks. After Round 3, all picks are for depth, development, or competition for the starting job. So your complaint stops at Lee. Damn, bro. Schooled by JaguarsWoman. Hilarious.
Draft order update after Week 14:
1. Titans (3-10, .473) 2. Browns (3-10, .509) 3. Chargers (3-10, .521) 4. Ravens (4-9, .479) 5. 49ers (4-9, .544) 6. Cowboys (4-9, .550) 7. Lions (4-9, .568) 8. Dolphins (5-8, .467) 9. Jaguars (5-8, .473) 10. Bears (5-8, .538) http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000...every-team I don't know if NFL.com includes future opponents in determining the SOS of each team. Because the website is official, I assume these numbers are accurate.
Eleventh is my guess.
Lots of pundits saying "ninth" lately. http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/print?id=192041 We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Eleventh is my guess. Apparently a lot of pundits are using the same formula to figure out each team's SOS, so there should be no confusion about that.
It would be nice to not see the "X consecutive picks in the top 10" graphic again.
Quote:It would be nice to not see the "X consecutive picks in the top 10" graphic again. Or any list of consecutive top 10 picks for that matter. Of course I do want to see that for Tennessee after a few years . . .
Quote:Or any list of consecutive top 10 picks for that matter.Who cares where a team drafts really? It's all about the quality of the entire draft. We've been drafting in the top 10 for a decade and look at us, while New England has been drafting in the bottom 10 for a decade and look at them. It's quality of the entire draft. I think rufftime's point is it will be great when we are competitive and win more games. That has nothing to do with who will be available at our pick number. One reason New England does so well is extra draft picks. Every year the Patriots go trade-crazy both before and during the draft. |
