Impressions From The Clots Game

Quote:Colts fans are in meltdown mode...as is their team.

There was a time not too long ago where a loss to the Jaguars meant a loss of the head coach's job.

Given the acrimony between Grigson and Pagano, and given the Colts giving up 45 to Pittsburgh and 51 to us in back to back embarrassing losses, I'm thinking Pagano, and maybe Grigson, need to update their resumes.

Well, it wouldn't be the first time that the Jags ended some careers......Dan Marino and Jimmie Johnson both retired after the 62-7 butt whipping we gave them in the 1999 playoff game.

Unbelievable Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde transformation from first half to second.

I wonder how many NFL teams have scored 42 or more points in one half! Not many, me thinks......

I'm so used to being on the receiving end of that, it feels great to witness it happening to our benefit.

You know it was nice to read the Colts MB for a little bit.  They have had an incredible run and have been spoiled by amazing QB play.  The QB play has been so good that it has masked the fact that they haven't had good drafts for years.  I really hope they leave the front office intact for another off season.

It also brings focus to how spoiled we were from 1996 through 1999.  So on top of the world it seemed like it would never end.

Quote:Myers is an odd thing...   To nail big booming FGs and then hit knuckle balls for the extra points.  I think they are in his head.

It's got to be in his head. He was tearing up after the miss, legit tears in his eyes before he through the helmet in disgust. I went from being pissed off at him to feeling sorry for him.

Seriously?  Man, it's in his head.  They should be making him take the kicks in the stadium and not the practice field.  I think that's the only way he breaks this thing.  That and a sports psychologist.

Play of the game for me was Roy Miller reaching warp speed and smashing into Hasselbeck.

Quickly becoming a firm favourite of mine.

You may be on to something with him practicing in the stadium.  For the first part of the year they actually turned the scoreboards black when he kicked.

I just read the Clots Message Board.........the best 20 minutes I've enjoyed in a long time. They are convincing themselves that they would have won if " Andrew " played.........hahahahahaha..............I didn't know he played defense too!

This is for any Clots fans who happen to read this...........You've had a good run, but it's over............There's a new sheriff in town !

Yes, like welling up wet eyes.

The boos were loooouuuudddddd too. I think he was probably just really angry with himself, a little embarrassed and humiliated by being boo'd so loudly.

The days of Colts monopoly on the franchise QB position are over.

They should have played the Sick Puppies song " you've got another thing coming" for the last part of the game

What I love about the second article is the complete disbelief that the Jaguars put that beat down on them.

Reminds me of a scene from "The Devil's Advocate" with Al Pacino.

Here is my favorite part of the article

"The Colts have just one chance to make something of this season, and even this is no sure thing: They need Andrew Luck. They need their franchise quarterback -- the barnstorming, defense-shredding player who led the NFL in passing in 2014"

We have seen a GM blow it in the draft over and over again.  Luck is a surefire talent but they are doing him no favors with what is being put around him.  He is a true difference maker for them no doubt but they need an overhaul.  I'm tired of being knocked around by them so it is a nice bit of enjoyment to turn the tables.

Agreed completely on that last paragraph.  Hopefully they will keep Grigson in place.
