As I understand it, the robbery was over, the punks left the store where they were confronted by a bystander, and subsequently shot to death.

The details are sketchy, but I don't agree with vigilantism. Too many people may take the law into their own hands before due process. So without further information on this particular shooting, I only would side with the bystander if he was being threatened at that time.


 

Just need to make sure some rules are still followed. Other than that, they got what they deserved.

While I agree with your point, isnt it astounding that people would actually be mad at the end result of their relatives actions?  If they didnt commit a felony in the first place, they would not be in these situations.

It's just part of your child being dead, and 9 out of every 10 parents would feel just like they do. Really crappy while laying their child to rest.

 

I don't agree with them, but I can respect it. I can respect that they have to figure out a reason why their child shouldn't be dead, it is a part that they need to believe deep down their child wasn't an evil evil person.

If I owned a store and I was being robbed, and somehow I was able to get a hold of my gun as well.....first reaction is to start shooting. If they are running because they see my gun, so be it.

 

Why do I have to show good judgement when someone enters my property to rob me and I am able to turn the table on them?  If they had the chance to shoot him they would have taken it (or else why bring a gun?)

In other words, when someone points, or pointed, a gun at anyone, then you're allowed to shoot them. 

 

While it may be noted that if the threat is over, the the use-of-force is no longer present. If the person suspects that the offender may rob, harm, or attempt to harm another person, the the use-of-force is present again. DF is arguing with emotion, no logic.
