South Carolina expected to hire Will Muschamp
|
Quote:He wasn't a great recruiter at UF. He did well recruiting corner and d-line. He was terrible at every other position leaving us with depth issues at many spots. A number of gator players said Muschamp had no real offensive game plan. He and the coaches called plays just hoping they would work. The work environment he created was one where players walked on eggshells hoping not to set him off. I did read something about that. Players apparently were so scared to mess up because Muschamp is a psycho that they were always too uptight. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:He recruited Treon Harris as QB. lolol Actually FSU should thank him for that...he was originally committed to go there. Not that he would have played, but still.
Huge Gamecock fan. Absolutely pathetic hire. A disgrace to a program that has elevated its caliber exponentially since the greatest athletic department move in school history (the hiring of Steve Spurrier). And if the rumors that he is being allowed to bring in the same offensive staff as he had at Florida are true, I'm convinced Ray Tanner is doing blow in his office.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

Quote:That's just not a good trait no matter what you do in life. After watching the Bama - auburn game, it's fairly clear to see that he hasn't changed at all either.
What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???
Quote:Everything that he stated has been heard in the past. What exactly did he say for you to make this statement? So, you really think a guy getting paid millions who coaches a top ten football program doesn't have some sort of offensive game plan? He and the offensive coordinator called plays just hoping they worked. Sorry, but that's BS. More of his bull dook below. Quote: On dalvin cook.. BS too. Quote: doubt one game really pushes recruits one way or the other. Quote: According to a couple guys? Who? The UF offense was shut out, i think it's a stretch to say kelly was out coached.
You do realize that restating my points is not a refutation? Right?
1. A number of Gator players stated that exact thing using those exact words. Coach Mac and Collins said the same thing and have mocked Chump's coaching relentlessly. 2. You butthurt about Cook's arrest record? That's just a fact. O_o 3. FSU's secondary got destroyed it that game. We had guys open all night. That is a fact. Treon is lost out there and never, EVER takes his eyes off the first read. That has nothing to do with FSU's defense. An above average QB would have had a big day.
Quote:You do realize that restating my points is not a refutation? Right? At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. You are an idiot. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Were you actually planning on backing that info up? I guess you're content with spreading dookie on the internet?
As good as Spurrier was as a coach and recruiter he had a hard time elevating the Gamecocks to championship caliber. The problem with S.C. is there is not a boatload of high school talent in the state, and with Clemson in the position they are in they will get all the best. UNC-Chapel Hill is now a frontrunner for talent in N.C. and Duke has elevated it's game, attracting more N.C. talent. Georgia and Tenn are both attractive programs which will limit what talent is left in those states for Muschamp to grab.
Bottom line is the recruiting bank in South Carolina is thin. Muschamp, or any coach, will have a hard time at that school until/unless the other competitor schools fall on hard times. Regards................the Chiefjag |
