Bortles int killed the jags!

Did anyone think that the Jags would hold on that last possession? Really?

It was a costly mistake that will be targeted as the reason why we lost, but this defense was just bad. You can't let a team eat up eight minutes in the 4th Quarter. Not only that, but our offense just didn't seem right today. Didn't look good at all for awhile, and seemed out of rhythm. We came back to tie it, but that's when the defense and offense can't let up on the gas pedal.
Also, any coach that has their players going one on one with Julio Jones should be fired immediately. Maybe even Seppuku in the middle of the field on the logo.

Still morons online I see. Bortles is not the problem. He came back back with 3 great drives. He's elite. Some morons will never get it.

Quote:The defense that couldn't get a damn stop on third downs didn't helpOr when they did stop Atlanta, they "didn't even have time to finish their drink" (quoting a gameday thread post) before the Offense's 3 and outs put them right back out there. You can't just blame that INT as the SOLE reason for this loss. Yes, it was a CRITICAL INT. There were alot of other contributing factors though. I think the defense played well enough to win (especially in the 2nd half holding ATL to 2 FGs total and creating an Interception that turned into a TD). The offense was MIA in the 1st half and 4th qtr. INT, Fumbles, 3 and Outs. The offense was not good today. But it was more than just that one play.

But he'll get there one day Quote:Did anyone think that the Jags would hold on that last possession? Really?Couldve been worse, if not for the double penalty Atlanta converts the third and fourteen near the end of the game.
Did Bortles contribute to the loss? Sure.
Did that one interception kill the jags? Absolutely not.
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

It was a big blow but I dont believe it killed us. We were tied 17-17 halfway into the 3rd quarter. we had all the momentum, we had the falcons on their heels, our offense rolling, it was our game to win. The defense wilting in the 2nd half may have been just as responsible. Denard's two fumbles may have ended back to back drives. Beadles whiff may have killed any momentum our last drive had. There were lots of plays here or there. Not sure any one was the reason we lost.
i still think the playcall was a bad one. An out route to your slowest WR in a bunch formation with a lot of defenders there. I wouldnt be surprised if Bortles never saw the guy breaking on the ball as he was probably shielded by another defender. ________________________________________________ Scouting well is all that matters. Draft philosophy is all fluff.
There were a lot of missed opportunities. I put this loss on the offense for sure. They didn't execute well today at all.
0-3 against the "soft" NFC South with the Saints up next. If the offense can rebound it could be a high scoring game.
Quote:Bortles is not the problem.he's part of it. needs to make better decisions.. PERIOD. Quote:Why is the board so extreme after a loss. It's either all on Blake or not on him at all. He contributed to the loss, but there were many reasons for the loss.exactly ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Quote:he's part of it. So do you want us to draft a new quarterback? ![]() Quote:Yep, that was a killer, but there were a lot of killers in the game. Julius Thomas not being able to haul in a TD was a killer, as was the defenses inability to stop a third down conversion and all of the fumbles. Wasn't that a tad overthrown? Also he missed Hurns on the last drive wide open too. Hopefully he gets more consistent next year.
