Quote:We're talking about a 2 time Super Bowl champion coach here. Not some basic retread. The guy knows how to win.
until he is saddled with the leagues worst (leagues worst??) pass defense....

Well obviously that's something that would be fixed. Especially with tom leading the way.

I was talking about the Giants AWFUL pass defense.

Hence... they're losing.

Hence they want to fire their defensive minded OLD coach.

Cuz they are expecting THE OTHER Manning to score 35+ point every game to win.

you want to replace a younger version of a struggling defensive coach with an older version... one probably past his prime and a little lucky he wasn't fired (twice) years ago.

Yeah, TC, he's old. And as kane said, the dude may be past his effective coaching years...

Also, there's a saying about going home and how you can't doing it once you've left that has done relevance to this topic

Tom Coughlin is an offensive minded coach.

Bingo! Was just about to post this. Offense is not the problem. But tom does know how to aquire defensive talent to provide to his coordinators. It's not toms fault their best defensive player decided to blow his hand up.

Their problems aren't all on the lack of JPP anymore than ours is all on Marks being out.

They lack playmakers at every level.

The Giants were much more defensive orientated under Coughlin for most of their time. So was he not doing his job as an offensive minded coach?

I mean... you can slice it every which way...

Gotta have the players.

Gotta have em or your coaches and schemes can't do squat.

He's done. I fully expect him to retire.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

I don't disagree but he would be coming to a team that is on the way up not down.

No Coughlin was let go because they needed a fall guy. This team had such a horrible roster from the salary cap guts. Coughlin may have been involved, but he coached the heck out of those teams. At the time also, fans were fickle and ticket sales or lack thereof held this franchise hostage in a way

What an awful meme.

Since he is apologizing he should have said "Gus Bradley will not be the coach of the Jaguars"

since the point is he is bad....

Furthermore.... Harvey's mistake was announcing the incorrect person as winner...

you're making a meme to announce a loser, and then apologize to announce that said loser is in fact the winner...

but you screwed it up making it about a winner, an apology, and then the same announcement of said winner.

you fail.

Horribly.

Lol, Kane... you're killing me over here...

I think you're over thinking it. It's a joke.

Try to chill. Come over to the Gus Bust side. We're more calm and relaxed over here. And jokes are just jokes. You don't have to over think memes over here.

Resistance is futile, and hey, things usually work out our way anyways. Why fight it, bruh...

No matter how or when an ineffective millionaire gets fired, you can rest assured knowing this: I won't shed a single tear or lose a minute of sleep.

You guys seriously need to chill. The Gus Bust train is nice and frosty, brah.

Post script, your scenario reminds me more of the bad luck Brian meme. :-)

Redskins are taking advantage of a weak division.....

We should have done the exact same.

They have lost numerous starters and yet Gruden has them winning games they should win.

Falcons lost to the lowly 49ers and Gabbert....

How didnt Poz make it I mean Bowman sure he leads the league (tied) in tackles but his stats compared to Poz

136, 100 solo, 2 Sacks, oPDef, o INT, 0 FF  - Bowman

114, 94 solo, 0 sacks, 8PDef, 3 INT, 0 FF - Poz

Keep in mind Poz missed games with two separate injuries this year!

===============

That in mind, does not having any players in the ProBowl despite their effort and skill have more to do with DC Babich & HC Gus Bradley not being able to coach better & game plan better to utilize the talent they had?
