Pro Bowl voting
|
Considering the fact that the Jaguars have almost no chance of making it to the SuperBowl (and those QBs will need a replacement for the ProBowl) I think Blake Bortles has a very high chance of making it.
He is currently 7th in the NFL in total passing yards with 3,524 in 3rd place in Passing Tds with 30, 2nd place with 20+ with 57, 21st place (among starting QBs) with an 88.4 rating, 1 rushing TD, and he only has 13 INTs. All of which is behind a below average Offensive Line, with young WRs (which most of them were droping tons of balls the first half of the season, and were injured). I know small market, inconsistency on Blake Bortles from week to week, all of which will be used as an excuse if he doesn't make it this year but the fact is he has improved greatly from his rookie year. The fact that we are even considering his potential is a great thing for a very young QB in his 2nd year! We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Fan voting hopefully doesn't mean much.
I mean Derek Carr finished ahead of Russell Wilson and Big Ben. Carr is pretty good but not that good...
Peeps love Carr. Must be the name.
Success is a journey, not a destination. Go all out Mighty Jaguars.
The thing with Carr is he's behind an excellent pass blocking o-line. He's only been sacked 19 times this year. Bortles has been put down 39 times this year and that's a lot better than last year.
Yet they have similar stats...

IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

A-Rob, Telvin Smith and Poz all in top 10 of their positions. Hope all three can get in, at worst 2/3 should.

I think Telvin and ARob go. Telvin is 7th in the fan vote and they'll most likely take 8 OLB's. ARob was 10th but I think he goes ahead of Edelman and Cooper (Raiders fans are really good at voting on things, aren't they?).
Poz might get in as a replacement.
No way we get 2 players on defense go to the pro bowl.
Nor should we with how they have played

Telvin faces up an uphill climb considering OLB picks are normally reserved for rush linebackers. I think his play can get him in there. AR15 and BB% would be icing on the cake if they get in too.
Quote:If Telvin is 7th in fan voting thats pretty high, he should goWith Telvin being 7th out of 8th in fan voting, doesn't that mean hes 33% of the way there? Or is this too far-fetched? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I never understood how a contest that includes fan voting holds so much merit in a person's career.
Quote:So who makes it tonight? Im going to say nobody like usual. Its a shame I'm gonna say ARob and Telvin. I just don't see how they don't. Bortles SHOULD make it statistically. But he probably won't.
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
Quote:I'm gonna say ARob and Telvin. I just don't see how they don't. Agreed. I think there's an outside chance Bortles could eventually make it since there's always a ton of QBs who opt not to play. Players that performed at a high level should be put in automatically because they were the best... I love Calvin Johnson, but he did not have a pro bowl year and I bet he'll make it in.

Bortles didn't make it
